Yeah it’s expensive. But, nothing else looks this clean which I’ll gladly pay a little more for. The icon and spline stars are about 280. So there’s free shipping and a discount for the hoodie. I bought it. Worth it.

Yea same. $300 to me is my personal limit for jackets and even then I thought it was pushing it. But I really do like it and the fact that it’s more protective than my standard leather makes me feel better about the purchase

Good review.. How did you find riding with a hood? Did you ever have the hood catch wind and choke you?? Ive known this to happen with hooded jackets, less so much with hoodie jumpers.. 👍🇬🇧

I have never spent anywhere near that much money for a motorcycle jacket. I have 2. 1 is over 30 years old. The other is 14 years old. The oldest one cost me $26 and the 14 year old one cost $70. They are both leather.

Great review dude. Let me give you some info on armor. There is gonna be some new inserts coming out later this year. Literally can’t feel them and as strong as CE2. Enginehawks clothing quality is designed to be high end, imagine name brands like Gucci or whatever. The new 4.0 quality is on par to match these now.

Ruroc is like The Emperor’s New Clothes. They tell you how great their stuff is yet I Have Never seen anyone say Ruroc is good. $450 for a hoodie is outrageous. You could have a leather jacket with full armor for that price. That name is too much. Then the put the giant “EH” on it. I just hear Canadians saying. “Eh Hosier”

I have a decent amount of experience with Ruroc, so I would say all the criticism they receive is fair game. I have my own. But with Enginehawk I can't seem to find any huge flaws other than the price, and even then it's pretty comparable to other manufacturers (revit as an example). but yeah, $400 is way more than I'm comfortable on any jacket, which is why I picked one up during their sale events.

I've heard really good things about them but never jumped into the pool yet. I do want to try the shoei rf1400 (I think that's the model?) since everyone raves about them.

Great video!...I'm confused though...water resistant but has genuine leather? Leather is not water resistant and we all know what happens when it gets wet and dries. That padding though has got to go for me IBR, unless your going into the canyons to drag some knees on that LowRider S. As far as the hoodie on this jacket it will def. cause some issues when riding 85-95 MPH for more than an hour and a half. Seen it too many times looking at guys in the mirror and they look like they are getting slapped on their helmet cause their hoodie is pushing the back of their head around. If you look at the guys rocking Ruroc products you can tell they are doing a good job on promoting...it's mostly young and fresh riders with little to no experience in the saddle.

For me I’d much rather wear this over my leather jacket so for me it was worth it. I don’t enjoy the bulk of thick leather jackets because I find it really heavy and restrictive

@@IronBornRider Nice as long as you like it that's all that matters! So...if it's a straight leather jacket, I would only wear that in the summer. Leather is good for protection, not for staying warm. You just have to find a good quality custom fit leather jacket. Check out Espinoza's Leather Company. Get something that is tailored to you...if you ever see one of the big 4's riding look at their vest...their vest are sitting nice and not bunching up or bulky...there's a reason, they are custom.
