Good comparison man! I knew there were a lot of complaints about the 1.0. I wish I could do Simpson but my head shape just says no everytime I try them. Way to keep it real from one helmet addicted rider to another.

Awesome video! Really want the Simpson Outlaw but I can't wrap my head around A $500 helmet that is made in China. At that price point its a small jump for an Arai or Shoei.

That's a lot of helmets man! I've worn Simpson Helmets since day one. My go to helmet on days that it isn't raining is the Simpson Outlaw Bandit. It's one of the best looking helmets around and set the bar for the industry. My rainy day helmet is the Mod Bandit only because it has a pin lock shield. Great review and please tell me you bought all those helmets second hand?! Ha JK

Lol I usually look for deals when I can get it, so it’s not too bad. I will say the outlaw bandit is very impressive. No flashy features, just all around a very capable helmet and the visor is second to none in quality.

With two guys right here owning the mod bandit while I’m looking into one right now can you guys give any insight on the noise. I would like to pick one up cause I love the look and style but I’m worried it’ll whistle and have crazy wind noise

GT Air has a ratchet chin strap. Just something to be aware of. The RF 1400 has a traditional double ring.

Hey MM! Yeah, unfortunately I sold it. Nothing wrong with the helmet, I actually thought it was the best cafe racer styled helmet that I've been able to try. I just couldn't get over that AGV logo on the forehead, and also didn't fit my style personally.

Nice job. No matter what for me I have not ever paid more than $40 for a helmet and I don't think I ever will. I am sticking with my 12 year old Scorpion EXO 100.

@@neveragain9380 Never seen an expiration date on it. Besides it's not food that goes bad over time anyway. The face shield got fogged and I replaced it a couple years ago.

Great review on many different helmets IBR! I had an older HJC and it needed a replacement and went with a Shoei RF-SR. Had my eye on that one and a RF-1400. The SR is super quiet. Before I put slip ons on my Scout with the stock exhaust I felt like I was in the cabin of a car of how quiet it was.

excellent review! I have been looking at the Mod bandit and will be ordering one now. I have ridden with SHOEI RF-1200 and NEOTEC and I really like the quality of them both. But I just want something a little more stylish. Would you say the Mod Bandit is very loud? I have seen that said in other reviews but you didn't mention it. Thanks for all the good info!

I have 2 helmets. A Biltwell Bonanza which is not a full face helmet but I love it all the same. I also have an HJC full faced helmet that I use when riding in cold weather or on the highway. I like that helmet. My only qualm with it is that it makes my neck feel tired. I’m not sure if it’s a fitment issue or if it’s a design issue. Which helmet do you recommend that doesn’t make your neck tired?

Hey Carol! I’m wondering if your neck is getting tired from the wind especially if you’re riding it on the highway. I went through something similar and I think I just got used to it. Otherwise maybe it’s a weight issue, which then I might look for a carbon fiber helmet (a little more expensive but very light weight)

Thanks Vvoltz! I usually wear ear plugs regardless of helmet so that helps. I think for me if I sized down it could provide a better seal and help reduce the wind noise but I just deal with it

@@IronBornRider Just trying it on , your going to tell the difference. I had stranda and simpson And your right the Simpson makes you feel like a bobble head . Plus my simpson (ghost) was loud and buffered . But the shoei was so much more quiet I was able to turn my head easier and the materials just felt so much better.

Thanks. I think it’s just the nature of a modular helmet because there’s not as much of a seal as a full face helmet
