It's weird, and was definitely considered weird by many back in 1993 and if you were a young woman to not just see an older lady checking you out, but to find out it's a man dressed as an older lady doing so. And it was a posh private club where that type of thing was less expected. Her reacting a bit creeped out was understandable.
@afriendofbean6 ай бұрын
@EPSGplayer I agree, that was funny that he was using his regular man voice saying that along with telling that woman that he'll pay for her drink in his man voice. He was probably drunk which is why he used his man voice and even if the "Bridges" restaurant scene he got drunk from drinking too much alcohol that he totally forgot he was wearing his Mrs. Doubtfire disguise and returned back to Mr. Lundy's table and even had to cover it up that Mrs. Doubtfire will be the new host of his show.

To me Miranda was always the villain of the film, at least up to till the end. She wanted to keep the kids as far away from Daniel as much as possible, limiting the time they see him. Rather spending money on a complete stranger to look after the house and them. Not forgetting moving on in a new relationship very quickly and looking at Stu as a sort what as a replacement father. Stu was no way the bad guy in the film, but Miranda was definitely the one who stands out as the villain of the story.
@YankeeBlues213 жыл бұрын
I don’t know that the movie has a “villain”, but Miranda does cause most of the problems. Daniel was irresponsible from the little we see of him pre-separation, but it seems like she did a garbage job of being a partner to him and communicating what she needed from him and instead of working with him, she just dropped him, took the kids, and ran off to her now-successful and good looking ex. Obviously Daniel’s entire Mrs Doubtfire scheme is (as he puts it in this scene) “beyond obsession”, but he’s a desperate father pushed to his limit because he’s been deprived of shared custody. He’s being treated like an abuser simply because his wife didn’t think he was pulling his weight in the family, but waited to convey that to him until the moment she bailed on their marriage. And Stu, from everything we see, is a genuinely good guy that subverts the antagonist boyfriend/step-father role that these kinds of plots typically use. He doesn’t have full information and is getting half the story from Miranda, but honestly does want what’s best for her and the kids.
@rogergarrison42712 жыл бұрын
Miranda was a fed up mom and wife doing the best she could with a demanding job, 2 kids, and a manchild of a husband. Far from a villain. I wouldn't go as far as calling Daniel a villain but he's responsible for most of his own problems in this movie.

Maybe Daniel finally came to terms that his marriage to Miranda was over and he needs to get his life together. If I were Stu in this scene, I wouldn't have called their father a loser, I'm not that kind of guy. I would've worded it more, "What can I say? From how Miranda describes him, I'm sure he's a swell guy that means well, but he seems to have a hard time accepting that he's a man now. He spent too much time being his kids' slightly immature, excessively fun-loving, fair-weathered friend that feeds immature behavior and attitudes while not realizing that his kids don't need him to be their friend. They need him to be their father. While a father should enjoy the company of his kids, to be sure, he also has to be mature enough to guide them into adulthood. Sadly, that's why their marriage fell apart. Miranda was tired of looking less like a mother and more like a warden in her own home due to her ex's behavior and parenting methods. Wish the guy well, though. I hope he acts more mature the next time around."

@Damion Luna It's unknown if he's really sweating especially at the end of the movie in the "Bridges" restaurant when he was changing out of his Mrs. Doubtfire disguise, he was wearing his men's clothing underneath over his Mrs. Doubtfire disguise where I would assume he would be sweating with all those layers.

@@afriendofbean lol I guess but like just imagine your entire face being covered with a face mask and your pores not being able to air out like that would suck

I love this scene since it's to show that even though Daniel thinks he's still a part of the family he'll never be 100% back in his kid's lives as Mrs Doubtfire

He IS still part of the family, he’s their father.
