not quite.. even then was somewhat lacklustre.. having to have a stand in caretaker manager Howard Wilkinson didnt help much and i dont think Beckham was over France 98.. Keown and Adams past it.. Rio a newbie.. Andy Cole shite.. Shearer fading.. Owen not allowed to excel in a very rigid team.. of course France were way better but England were still disappointing.
