"As much or even more talent than Spain"...?! Really?! This is not a dig, but maybe this is the problem with Premier League fans. It may be the most competitive league (from positions #2-#20, of course), but much of its attraction (and global interest) is due to international players and managers. Very few English players are world class, but many teams don't have many either. Thus they get good managers to create good plans according to the talent available. England always seems to think so highly of its players, and assume that chucking them together will get good results and play. And having a bad manager only exacerbates that issue. It's no coincidence that England starting 11s always seem to be unbalanced.

A decent manager : 1. would see Foden for city is a completely diff player for England who dont play the system that works for him, you either play him in a position (CAM) that works, or bench him 2. Kane was dog s*** for the first 2 games, should have started Toney or Watkins to see what they offer in the 3rd game (especially when he knew they were guaranteed qualification) 3. You played 2 tournaments where you relied on fast pace wingers that completed Kane, dropping deap (rashford especially) , so far the left with Foden (who isnt quick and isnt going to run in behind) isnt working, so maybe trying the closest alternative in Gordon? It is a shame that we are wasting another generation under a useless manager, loads of questions need to be raised about the manager & especially the FA, clearly a bunch of dinosaurs who arent suited for the modern game.
