Glad to be one of the 7%ers! 👍🏼🤣🤣 That's one interesting piece of... whatever that "surface" is! I'd imagine large sections of it well potholed after rain.

Perfect example of how HGV and two-wheeled experience makes you a better driver in both. Well handled, makes the whole thing enjoyable to watch.

Thank you so much for that, it was very much appreciated. As for being a better driver I usually say it's more luck than judgement if it's anything to do with my skill! All the best Jeremy.

That reminded me of several roads in the Welsh valleys near Neath/Port Talbot. Steep, restricted visibility, though not generally many motorcycles - so guess who would be riding! Incidentally, thanks for adding the comments, always appreciated.

Hello Don I've been on some of those Welsh roads where you can't pass a car even on a bike! Heading to the Welsh National on the 11th of May to have yet another go, whilst I'm still able. Although these days I think I'll stick to the northern half of the country, it seemed a heck of a long day to ride from here tour through and around south Wales then get to the then finish point of Welshpool, about 400 miles, then get to our digs. Will be riding from here then back at night as have done since it came back after covid. Have you a bike? Are you entering? If not why not! All the best Don and thank you for commenting.

@@cloudmaker When I was unable to find suitable helmets for dogs, I'm sad to say that I stopped motorcycling and got an estate car 😕 As the old 'joke' went: I got a puppy for my wife. Good swap!
@cloudmaker6 ай бұрын
@@donmacdon That's a good joke that one. I did stop riding for a time when the mortgage was big and the kids were little, while I seemed to be working all the time. Never sold my bike though and now have 8, of course only five are in one piece, well almost with only one as a everyday rider, I do keep four on my insurance in case I get the urge to get another one in proper running order. Maybe it's time you thought about throwing that leg over a little project, just a thought. Take care Don. P.S. One of my favourite bikes came from Wales but it's a very rare beast and it was only sold in Japan, never exported, so no idea how it got to Wales. Honda CT250SR. Honda Silk Road. There's a picture of it in here, these are all my bikes but it's the second one in red and silver. kzbin.info/www/bejne/ZmbLlaSAg5upaNE

@@cloudmaker I once had a 400cc Honda 4/4: great if you like gear shifting! Your silk road looks like a sensible practical bike. That's why I now have only an e-bike. Keep safe, remember that there is no point in being right if you are the one in hospital.

Shockingly narrow with so many turns where nothing is visible until you are there!! Definitely for motorcycles!! As you were riding past those houses, I was thinking how crowded they were, both to the street and each other. I'm definitely a country girl who likes to live far from everyone else!! Beautiful valley and loved the hills on the other side with the rock walls separating the fields.

Hello there, yes up there you are even higher than the cable cars on the other side of the valley. This was obviously a horse track at one time and it's never been improved since. Wonder how you'd get on in one of those big American cars of the 50's-70's. It also made me wonder that if you travel by car to visit one of those houses, where on earth do you park? 🤔👍😁

Bloody hell Robert, VW vans back then had very little go about them it must have been a struggle, especially if you met something. Bad enough meeting a car when on the bike. Thank you for the comment. All the best Robert.

Hey Dan, did you know only a small percentage ever read the descriptions! Anyway as I was saying, in the description, 😉🤔👍🤣🤣🤣it is from Riber Castle near Matlock and the video ends with Matlock Bath a few hundred feet below to the right at the side of the A6. The road is Riber Road and it comes out on Starkholmes Road. Not one to take the van up just in case you were in the area Dan. All the best mate.

@@Dan23_7 Many signs even one restricting length too. As you drive through Matlock heading East if you look up the hill you can see Riber Castle standing over everything really high up. Last visited when it was a Zoo.

Definition of worst is a problem for me. I did Wrynose and Hardknott passes yesterday heading west,in a car. My dilemma is, both passes are way worse than that. Therefore by default, way better!

Hi Mate, hope your well, well after that that was like being on a roller coaster, that was a steep decent, stunning scenery now you don that , may be when you come over to the land of my fathers, go to the North West and head for Harlech in Gwynedd the road is in dispute for being the steepest or the second steepest road, in the world it's in dispute with a road in New Zealand, it is very steep, I bet it was nice to be on two wheels for a change. Take care mate, catch you soon
@cloudmaker6 ай бұрын
Been to Harlech a few times as it's a regular checkpoint, normally used to be the leisure centre that stands beneath the castle. One year I kept meeting a bloke called John Gardner all over Wales, riding his Triumph, anyway he followed me into Harlech and as we gave our details I joked with the time keepers that I'd thought of changing my name for the event to V. Rossi as I was number 46, John pipes up from behind me and says he'd tried to time his entry to get that number but he just missed it as he was number 45! Think I've got a video of the time on here somewhere. Will have to look up that steep hill, of course I might only look up it and not ride it! Thank you for that Shaun. Take care fella.
