England to the Sahara, Morocco on my 2010 Triumph Bonneville.
In part four of my road trip, I head off from Khouribga and aim to reach the edge of the Atlas Mountains and the town of Ouzoud- my final stop before crossing the mountain range.

I have watched you for quite a while now Freddie.. You are pretty much a professional with the quality of your presentation and content. You have an excellent relaxed manor that would appeal to both Bikers and Non Bikers. In fact I have seen so called professionals on TV that are nowhere near as good (polished) as you are. You are a natural. Best wishes from Stalmine (Lancashire).

'UK roads are worse than that!! Triumphs were born on gravel roads!! Or roads with potholes - I don't see any holes in the gravel road - just drive faster, it smooths the ride out! Sorry, I was born on gravel roads with corrugations on uphill corners, and ridges of gravel on the flat in rural NZ in the 60's and 70's. I don't mean to ridicule your decision, you made it based on current conditions and your fear of a bike failure miles from any roadside service, or even anyone who speaks English!! Really enjoying your tour of discovery ad your own inimitable style of documentary Travel Blog. Great news you found better roads and got there safely - in daylight!! You find excellent accommodation for such low costs! Air-Con? Wifi? Power outlets? All necessary details.... oh btw, those 360 views are awesome! A mix of riding with an occasional break for a chat, and then back to the ride. It works wonderfully and from what I see in the comments, it's also inspiring many people to follow their dreams of two wheel adventure.

Awesome.....this is fast becoming a series on how the limitations of the machine will guide and influence your journey.....I dont own a Bonneville but I could well imagine it wont take too well to slow bumpy roads; I have a 2006 955i Daytona and that doesn't even like filtering through rush hour traffic - it soon complains and the pumps/fans start going bonkers. A good decision to turn back and regroup/replan your route

I'm am ardent follower of your channel, Freddie. It's relatable to me as I ride a 2016 Street Twin and love exploring on it. Can I suggest that you tilt forward that insta360 clamp holder that you've clamped on the centre of your handlebars. They are hazardous to you and can be like a stab in the face should you (God forbid) meet with an accident and you jerk forward face first. Pardon me if I sound gory, but it's just my work in the OHS field that's made me nervous seeing that sticking out like that in front of you...

A good decision to turn around when you did on that rocky road. The Bonnie wasn't designed for that, tough though it is. Your decision paid off with a good alternative road and some stunning scenery. What's the petrol like there? Some travellers in north Africa have found only very low octane fuels available and had issues as a result.

Glad to see that Morocco and it’s people have not changed much since I travelled along a similar route when touring in 2000, I was very grateful of the my trusty 1150 GS as the route was hit and miss. I eventually ended up in Akhfennir which is adjacent to Tenerife. Fantastic people and country, the main lesson I learnt was to throw the schedule in the bin and take my time, as with only maps routes had to be carefully chosen daily and enjoyed. For the first week or so I munched miles and it became a bit obsessive, the. after a few bad sand and rock experiences I decided to go with the flow. Not sure what route you are planning but I am so envious, enjoy! Can’t wait for the next instalment. ;

Plus you get to see the road less traveled.and I’m sure the Boonville would have been fine , they are a reliable bike . People used to travel all over the world 🌎 on road bikes before ADV were a thing . Just check bike end of each day mate 👍. Iv ridden some pretty bad dirt roads in Australia on a road bike , you just need to slow it down abit . The V85tt would of been perfect 👍 mate 500km tank range , shaft drive , spoked rims , good suspension travel , comfortable and cruise control 👍. I brought mine for the LONG trips on and off road .Fantastic scenic riding mate and giving the prices for accommodation and food prices is a good idea those looking at doing the same thing .

I as an “elder” rider have a Harley Roadking and think it looks so much better without the screen, but hell, when I ride without the screen and get home-I am “knackered”-so rarely take it off unless it,s very hot (I,m an expat in Kuwait) I previously had a Motto Guzzi Griso- which as a “naked” bike, I just found uncomfortable above 60mph with the wind. @@FreddieDobbs It's pretty epic Freddie, you can do the whole of the north-east coast (Alnmouth - Seahouses - Holy Island) and then make your way through Kielder (more central). Beautiful place to ride. Stay safe on your current travels!

Hi Freddie. Quick question, what's the fuel situation like ? Are you carrying any extra and / or tanking up at every opportunity ?

Very nice road. I'm afraid it would take me a full day (like 8 hours or so) to drive that 150 km, stopping every 10 minutes to admire scenery... PS. I'd sleep on one of the sofas. They look longer than those beds. :)

The problem you have here is a combination of inappropriate motorcycle, tyres, clothing and helmet (both unvented). But what the hell, let's pack a bag, throw it on the bike I've got and point it towards the Sahara.😂 Well done matey.

Great adventure and filming. Thanks for sharing. Just on the soundtrack of your vids, a lot are Sub-Saharan songs...would be good to choose some proper Moroccan soundtracks to go with the scenery 🤓. Great work though!

Another great episode! I can't help but think, how hot is he in all black. Last year, doing a trip in triple digits Fahrenheit I was longing for lighter colors. I wish I could find a Khaki well-built leather jacket for summer ☀️.

Freddie, is it just me or is the Bonnie headlight pointing a bit high skywards? Love the trip, enjoy, i have watched Lavi and Ollie pass through there and Noraly from Itchy Boots, great trips.
