What a splendid combination - organ and trumpet. Mr Rondeau is for my money an extremely active individual who eats, breathes and sleeps music. His contribution on Petrucci website alone is almost too vast to be able to comprehend. I am personally indebted to all his hard work in bringing obscure or forgotten compositions to the forefront. The Pezel pieces are worth recording and placing on this medium, I feel. It is time for a revival of lost works.

What a jewel (among many other heavenly compositions) this Trumpet Tune great master H. Purcell. You are one of my favourite composers. Organ and Trumpet, two of the most brilliant instruments.

For the last 200yrs both this and the so called 'trumpet voluntary' have been incorrectly attributed to Purcell, whereas tha actual composer was Jeremiah Clarke. The correct name of the trumpet voluntary is Thd Prince of Denmark's March.

That whole generation of composers starting with Vivaldi, and continuing with Telemann, J.S. Bach, Handel, D. Scarlatti, and Rameau put the composers who came before them to shame, even though there were some quite good ones.

I played in a brass ensemble back in the day and we played this music in many churches on Cape Cod that were built in the 1700's. Awesome acoustics!!
