Thanks and nicely done. Played with lift, a dancing rhythm and phrasing. Too many seem to think that these tunes have to be turned into some sort of over-arranged chamber music pieces, which is not only rather anachronistic, it usually spoils the tunes. The great thing about these country dance tunes, and it's true of Childgrove, is that they are not only old tunes, but also bang up to date; being used to this day not just in "re-enactments" or "historical dances" but as everyday dance tunes.

The over-arranged aspect you speak of is what precisely turns me away from a lot of the contemporary classical musical artists widely recognized and revered today. Simple, bucolic tranquil is what I aim for finding in pieces such as these. Thank you for your opinion. :)

I think the banjo sounds great Michael. You are quite talented on it. I look forward to more.

Thank you kindly, Ginny. Two tracks with banjo I'll probably upload in the next few days.

Really nice playing. What sort of banjo are you using? And, while I'm at it, is there any chance we might actually get to see you playing on one of your videos one day? :-)

Thanks! A standard tuned 5 string. There's some coffee shops around here that have an open mic night apparently but none of my peers are into this sort of music as you can probably imagine hahah. Maybe someday.
