Oh lord, this will take me all day (and I love it). Just at the beginning and have to pause att every interesting garden/picture (and there's so many of them!) and then I realised this video is 57 min long 😱💚 ..so I think I'll make myself another cup of coffee... 😄 As always thank you Alexandra 🌱🇸🇪
@TheMiddlesizedGardenКүн бұрын
Thank you! The occasional longer videos work well for people who watch on TV and also I think it's helpful to pull related topics together with a bit of re-editing etc. Enjoy the coffee!

Oh, good luck! I sometimes think snow would be beautiful but three months does sound a bit long.

Alexandria, I watch quite a few KZbin channels and watch their videos once. Your videos are so inspirational and full of great information I can watch them over again. Thanks so much for all your hard work! 🌼🐝

Don't want to wish my life away but at this stage in the winter season how I long for spring. Thank you for all of your advice and tracking down so many inspirational gardeners who just keep on giving with their own advice and willingness to show off their gardens . I've got my pen 😃

I usually avoid compilation videos but this one is really well done. It seems so seamless and well organized that I wouldn't have known it was a compilation if your clothing didn't change from one segment to the next. Well done and thank you, Alexandra!
@TheMiddlesizedGarden6 сағат бұрын
Thank you so much! I did quite a bit of re-editing of the older videos so I hoped that even if people had seen the original videos, then they would get something extra from it. I was reluctant to do compilation videos, but they are useful in bringing together videos on one topic, and also I was told that they're comfortable for those viewing on a TV.

Each of your interviews are so interesting. You combine them with such lovely images. I wonder how much time goes into one video.
@TheMiddlesizedGarden6 сағат бұрын
That's so kind of you to think about that. 4 days of shooting and editing is typical, often divided half and half between research and filming, then editing. I love the editing but it is fiddly. I particularly enjoyed re-editing the oldest video in this grouping because I filmed more relevant gardens since doing the original. Thank you.

So beautiful. I live in the USA, zone 5. I have what I call a budget Victorian home and I am trying to garden with around 70% native plants but get the English country garden vibe. Your videos are always so inspiring and I have learned so much from them. Thank you!

Oi, Mrs! A lovely bit of video that! 😊 Thank you for providing this today-I'm desperate to get out into my border and begin. We've had a cold snap here that has lasted weeks and has been so disheartening! But spring is on the way. Thank you for the reminder😂!

This was wonderful, thank you. I have got to get practical in the increasing heat and intense sun in central Virginia. I do not have irrigation plus our neighborhoods are encouraging us more and more to be water-wise. I am removing many perennials and focusing more on structural shrubs and trees. Pots are virtually impossible for me because of the sun and heat and need for constant watering.

The copper foliage tree at 18:10 is Acer platanoides 'Crimson King'. At 20:14 the tree is Liriodendron tulipifera.🙂Very interesting video, thank you.
@TheMiddlesizedGarden6 сағат бұрын
Yes, I'm sorry, I did get some of the tree names wrong, and with the tulip tree, I have no idea why the words 'sycamore' came out of my mouth! Interesting re the copper foliage tree as the person who lives there now wasn't the one who planted it, so I was having to guess. Which I will try not to do in future! Thank you!

I don’t have room for a folly but, I’ve hung a mirror up on a the back fence that looks like a kind of gothic window. I think im going to paint some stones around the window on the fence. Including painting on some moss!

fabulous video. Thank you. I have 3 borders to revamp this year. I should have started to tackle it , last Autumn, but I just don't know wheer to start. I am so frightened of killing my plants when lifting them- particularly my lupins, poppies and Peonies.
@TheMiddlesizedGarden5 сағат бұрын
I know what you mean. I feel the same way, but so far it has always worked out. Do you have an experienced gardening friend who might help? This video about lifting and dividing plants may be interesting too: kzbin.info/www/bejne/d4XEi4ukesiXe7M

So much to think about and consider. I particularly like the way you write the names of companies etc on the screen as so often the presenters just speak the names and they are unintellibable and hard to find again This gives us so much more information and I can now look up so much more. It is now easy to revisit all these places and people. I think there might be a rat running across a stone at 53.18 or thereabouts.! I am not sure?
@TheMiddlesizedGarden19 сағат бұрын
There might very well be a rat! And thank you re the captions on screen

Maybe I misunderstood something but you talking about English country gardens but showing some palace gardens or gardens that tries to mimic them….. That’s a really strange approach…
@TheMiddlesizedGarden6 сағат бұрын
I'm not sure what you mean - there were no 'palace gardens', except possibly Chatsworth which is a grand, landscaped garden and defined as 'not an English country garden.'
