Wow this is awesome! I had noticed how Marlena is the subject in various songs but thought it was a person. This meaning is so cool and poetic (like many of their songs, they sound awesome but the words are beautiful too, I'm thankful for the translations). This band is really on another level and they're so young! yes , we are definitely obsessed and addicted. The last time I felt this way about Italian music other than classical/opera was Eros Ramazotti 'Musica e', and this feels like a long long time ago. Maneskin is simply stunning - not just their music, Damiano's tone, instrumentation, it is more than that. They have a very aesthetic look and probably a unique chemistry, including a female bass player (maybe the boss ?), which actually comes across in all their performances. This chemistry + music generates a very special energy for the viewer, that is truly rare. What makes it even more incomprehensible is that they are only 20/21 years old...at that age they have 'decoded' the music industry - I cannot wait to see them in Glastonbury or other big live concerts in the UK soon....

So glad you decided to react to this one, Torna a casa was their first n.1 song in the Italian charts and to date probably their most popular and it tells such a beautiful story. This song is basically about a man who loses his muse but eventually always finds her way back to him and how she means everything to him, in an interview they explained that Marlena is the personification of Måneskin, she represents the essence of the band and this song is a dedication to their creativity, freedom and art which they hope to never lose and always guide them. They are actually so young but everything they do is high quality, fresh and full of surprises! I am 44 years old and I went to concerts like Metallica 1992 Iron Maiden 1994 Nirvana pink floyd RATM and so on... then I went to 2 concerts of Maneskin couple of years ago and I was so glad I felt the same emotions when I was young! I think this is one of my favourite songs of them, perhaps even more than Zitti e Buoni, there's so much emotion in his voice that you almost don't need lyrics to understand it! Torna a Casa means "Come back Home" and he's referring to Marlena in "Quindi Marlena torna a casa". Marlena is not a person but the embodiement of their Muse, the one that gives them inspiration, like what happened with poets! So it's something like: So Marlena (my Muse, my source of inspiratione) come back home, because here I can feel it's cold (without you), come back home because I'm so scared to disappear (without his muse he cannot give birth to his art, so he will disappear).
