When you eat food during hi tea you start with the savoury items first. Sandwiches, savouries, scones then cake. Harrods have the best tea and you pay one price and it cover refils. All the stations in London are famous. A pint is about 600 mls When you came out of Bayswater you could gave turned right and come to Kensington Gardens and Palace where Diana lived when she left Charles. Kate and William lived there but may have moved to Windsor

The meal depicted in this video is not what I'd call "High Tea", it is what I'd call "Afternoon Tea". "Afternoon Tea", in England at least, is a light meal taken mid-afternoon with cake, scones and sandwiches. "Afternoon Tea" isn't really a big everyday thing in England and tends to be reserved for "special occasions" ... a Sunday trip to look around a stately home or a museum might involve "Afternoon Tea" in a tea-shop, a holiday in a classy hotel might involve having "Afternoon Tea" to while away an hour or two, if some old friends or relatives are coming to visit for an afternoon the host/hostess might prepare "Afternoon Tea". People will take friends or relatives to hotels for "Afternoon Tea" as a Birthday or Anniversary treat. "Afternoon Tea" is usually seen as treat, not as an everyday occurrence, and people who just want a bite to eat will pop into the likes of Greggs, M&S or Pret and can get a takeaway sandwich and drink for about £5. Seeing as the top London hotels charge £75 plus per person for "Afternoon Tea" the meal served at "The English Rose" looked quite good value for money.

Teas are great and there is controversary how you call scones - scounes or skons, and there is also contraversary whether you put the jam or cream first lol I say Skons and I put the jam first and cream afterwards. Oh dear. I fear you fell for the Tourist Trap rip-offs around Victoria. If you’d had time you would have done far better seeking out a higher quality and cheaper Afternoon Tea, though not to a set price menu, maybe in Hampstead, Clapham or possibly Greenwich. ‘High Tea’ is taken later than Afternoon Tea and includes a hot savoury such as you might expect for a cooked breakfast. You’d be hard pushed to find it served anywhere in London. Last time I had it was on a train but railway restaurant cars stopped serving it around 40 years ago. Why do so many people get it wrong? High tea is different than afternoon tea. They are two very distinctly different things. You had afternoon tea,not high tea.

It’s to do with height. Afternoon tea is traditionally enjoyed (hopefully) at a lower height (on a sofa, for example), whereas high tea is ate at a table. I kid you not, but in a way, it makes sense. The food is different as well. Rather than me describe it here, just check out Wikipedia/similar.

The best afternoon teas in the UK are at smart establishments. You go for the experience and the atmosphere as well as the food. The Ritz or the Savoy. You get what you pay for!

Johnny we're counting on you to show us more of Benjamin since apparently he's done making videos haha. I think in the future when he does some crazy adventure or is just seeing a new part of the world you should try to persuade him into making a video even if it's only 5-10 minutes long. Maybe one day when he has that feeling again of making a video because he enjoys it and has fun doing instead of having the pressure to put out content. Hopefully he will have that feeling again one day.

Victoria is one of the worst tourist trap/traveler bits of London to mooch around. Bloomsbury is good for better hotel deals, close to Eurostar too.
