Brilliant, thankyou so much. So useful, and you do it so clearly - better than anyone else I’ve seen so far

This was so great to find! Teaching my little boy Makaton which has some cross over (I’m sure you are aware of this), but I also find BSL useful at work with HI kids (I’m a teacher). Soft/ gentle is the biggest take away for me here. Thank you!

Hi, my partner wanted to ask where you're signing from/what region you're in, as some of your signs look like regional dialect.

Thanks for watching! I'm based in Leicester but I cross reference many of the signs we present with publications, interpreters and the signs in use online by others. There are some signs that have many variations so inevitably you'll see and use different signs in certain regions, but I try to include the most commonly used sign. Thanks again 🖐️

Thanks for watching Velvet :) British Sign Language has some "regional signs", so the signs for some words may be different in Newcastle and London. Colours for example are signed differently around the country. I know that may sound confusing, but signers around the country are aware of differences so if you use a different sign, it'll be a good conversation starter rather than a problem :)
