Literature speaks the language of the imagination and the study of literature is supposed to train and improve the imagination.
Delhi Public School, Sonepat organised a Literary Fest in the Multipurpose Hall on 31st January, 2020 at 9:00 am, for the students of classes III to V. It was a step to encourage students understanding and love for literature, improve spoken expression and to inculcate the habit of reading in the students. To make the experience attractive and enjoyable for the new generation the students picked up enactment from various novels and performed it before the audience.
Students of class 3 presented a play ‘Tara and Appu’, class 4 presented ‘Black Beauty’ by Anna swell and class 5 presented ‘The white Elephant’ by Ruskin Bond. Each child enacted with great precision of speech, expression and co-ordination. Through the enactment and excellent narration by the narrators they spread the message of being kind and loving to animals and shared a beautiful message of humanity and freedom. It responded to the pain, suffering, care, love, compassion and hardships of the animals. Animals need to be treated with care, and not used and abused for the ends of others. The need to halt the mistreatment of all animals is one of the primary messages. It was indeed a great impressive effort.
