Gilbert Beilschmidt Hi there Gilbert :) I'm sorry that I did not reply to your comment sooner, but now I've read the things and wanted to say a few thoughts... Firstly, I'm sorry to hear about your relationship... but hey, I am no longer with my girlfriend anymore either, and though it started out rough, everything is okay again! Nevertheless, that relationship taught me a good many things about accepting myself, coming out to others, etc etc. As Tsuki said, it's a scary experience. I go to school on a very liberal campus, and because of that I am lucky, but maybe it's not like that for you, in which case, it's even scarier. And I'm sad that the world can be a cruel place. It sounds almost silly, with me typing this online where everyone is much more accepting, but I know the real world is not so much. But also as Tsuki said, trust in your friends. You are still the same as ever, bisexual/gay/non-straight or however you identify. Your sexuality affects no one but you. If they reject you, it is their own loss, but trust that our generation is becoming much more open minded and accepting. It is difficult, maybe hard to bring up, or awkward, but I believe that it will be okay in the end! At the same time, you should not feel pressured to come out. It is your decision, and only you know your own situation. My relationship partners have been very patient with me, and I'm sure that, in the future, if you speak with your girlfriend, she can understand. Significant others are supposed to be supportive, yeah? Although I also understand the desire to be seen as a couple, it really is a nice feeling to be able to flaunt your cute bae, hehe :) Ah, sorry I ended up ranting, but I hope that somewhere in there, I said a few things that could help you out or make you feel better. It really depends on what kind of people your parents are, would they turn on you just for being bisexual...If your an only child it kinda puts you in a better position than someone with siblings. hello. i know this is a very old video so i'm sorry if this comes off as weird or anything. if commenting this sort of thing on your old videos is uncomfortable feel free to delete it. (also i'm on my phone so apologies for any typos. i'll try to use proper capitalization from here for the sake of readability) I was 13 when i discovered this (I'm 17 now, so it couldn't have been long after you uploaded it). And although I don't listen to it religiously (I have gone weeks, maybe months without listening to it. My interest in specific songs shifts a lot, if that makes sense.) it's still very important. Magnet is my favorite vocaloid song, it really strikes something in my heart, and hearing your beautiful voice sing these powerful lyrics that resonate with me is something I cherish. I started a long distance relationship with a girl in France when I was 13. (I remember it down to the time of day. It was December 19, after school, the last day of school before our winter break.) Her name was Yasmine and I felt blessed to have someone as lovely as her reciprocate my love. I sang a cover of this song (in French) for her on Valentine's Day and it made her very happy. On my 14th birthday, she put together a playlist of songs for me to listen to. Magnet was one of them. The playlist is gone now. She is, too. I don't want to go into too much detail, but she died at the end of that summer. Last September, I realized I was a lesbian (before then I'd thought I was bisexual). And while I was happy I'd made sense out of my sexuality, it didn't get rid of my bad thoughts. I want to fall in love with a girl again, but at the same time I dread it. I don't want her to turn out to be an innocent straight girl, a victim of a disgusting lesbian's attraction. I don't want her to be prematurely outed and attacked if we fall in love and the world ends up seeing it. I don't want her to die because I cursed her by loving her. Every day I wish that being a lesbian was something normal and something that I wouldn't end up being horrified to reveal about myself. Listening to this song, and especially this cover, helps me through all the bad feelings and memories, it gives me comfort that I'm not alone and things will be kinder when time passes. It gives me faith that I can find love without hurting anyone. Even when there are bad times, I can at least make more sense of them and be more open about it because your lyrics for this cover resonate with me so strongly. Same here! The original Japanese live performances have the duet sung by vocaloids of the same sex. I find that the song doesn't really have the same effect when it's sung by two vocaloids or people of opposite genders.
