No, you are wrong! This is not a boring video at all! You are actually showing us how patient we have to be if we want to train our dogs. This helps us not to get frustrated

100% agree I found this video really reassuring that I was doing the right things I just need to be patient and give it time I am at this exact same spot about a week in with my dog thanks for keeping the video unedited and showing us what it really takes!

Yeah me too. Makes me feel so much better about training my girls. I thought I couldn’t do it because it wasn’t happening right away like all the videos

One of the best training videos on the internet. I thought I was crap because I couldn’t get my American bull dog to listen in less than 5 reps like all the other trainers on the internet. Good to see someone make the small adjustments.

Super helpful and encouraging, simply because it didn’t go perfectly. It lets us novices know that sometimes it takes a bit for the dog to get it and it may not always be the trainer.

I love seeing the patience and how many times you have to do it over and over and over and over, makes me feel like i'm not the only one that has to do it a million times

Thank you so much for this! Showing the ups and downs of dog training is really helpful to present the full reality of the training process. Please continue to show the entirety of the video without editing out the 'mess ups'! Great content as always!

For anyone reading this: I know that dog training can be difficult sometimes, but you're doing great. Keep up the good work, and your dog (and your own sanity) will thank you for it! ❤️💕

I love my OEM! He’s almost perfect but your videos are really helping. Best thing was getting rid of the harness and reconciling what I need to do to properly train him. I had an abusive childhood and choking is a huge trigger for me. But I get it and slowly working on being more firm with his corrections. It’s so hard tho. But its not abuse, he’s not a human and I must be the only one in charge. Thank you for your videos.

I have a 7 month old English mastiff. He's at 110lbs and is a very gentle giant. I love this video b/c mine is doing the same thing with the stay command and has not let me walk behind him but he's coming a long really good. Also we've got 4&6 year old girls and he is really good with them. Also at 7 months old he has a very intimidating bark. I almost went with the cane corso but we are really happy with our English mastiff. He's a great dog and loves the attention when we're out and about. Great channel, really enjoy and learn from the videos.

We have an English Mastiff Rotti X, also Brindle.... soooo similar in every way, including the drool during feeding or he is hot or after drinking water. The laying in the dirt when he is drooling is the woooorst... goobers all over our house.

I have a six and a half month old Saint Bermastiff puppy that looks like him. Last time I weighed him... just before he turned six months a few weeks ago, he was already 97 pounds. He is the sweetest puppy. And he is a talker like your Bruno, too.😊🤗🥰

Nah I like the realities of training. Our newly adopted female APBT gets excited and breaks the stay. So it’s good to see the different techniques dealing with it. Thanks

I love this video, great to see the actual training instead of one already trained. It made me laugh knowing how stubborn they are, we have our second bullmastiff now after loosing our one at 10 year, and he's just like the one in your video with the stay command, great tip with the correction I will definitely be trying that. Thank you for a great video

My mastiff x has trained me! the bugger runs off with the ball and hides so my other dog - a GSD - will give chase. Whenever he has done this I've said, 'oh look at the bad boy.'. Now I use it as a cue to allow him his own wild times ... after he does return with the ball several times.

Mastiffs are fantastic! I have had a few, English, French and bull. My experience is the English and French are pretty laid back. Bullmastiffs are laid back just not as much. Little more guarding

I know you don’t need my input but I never train a sit stay. For me, it’s like the hammer being have cocked on a gun. I want it in the full resting position which makes it easier to teach the stay as you mentioned.

Was it outside factors because you were outside and he thought you were leaving and or leaving without him, would it have been better for him listening inside first then outdoors? Just curious.

We have our now 13 week old, apricot reversed brindle English Mastiff and doing well with training so far. The only major problem we are having is she wants to eat everything in the yard. We have to keep her on a leash while going to potty in the yard. We have major sticker problems and getting the yard treated to get rid of them... but she continues to eat them and it's like wrestling a pig trying to get them out of her mouth! Any training solutions for this?

I noticed the comment is 7 months old, so you probably fixed the isue but might be helpful to others :) Try to increase the food a little bit or feed more often little amounts and see how it affects. You should also give a lot of safe chewable things like bullysticks, filled frozen Kongs. You can give part of his diet by frozen Kong 'snack'. I also taught my dog the 'put it down' command (in Hungarian, it is shorter and poppier sounding than this, so it works well), after she puts it down, I might even allow her to pick that up again, obviously if it is a toy for example. Plus you need to mark the intention to pick it up already with a high pitch No, If still picks up, you go No and clap, while you go there immediately and take action.

Hi, I have two mixed mastiff girls that have not been trained, they know how to sit and come when I call them but that’s about it. My problem is that they can be very social but also very protective and I want to be able to take them on walks without being scared about how they can react to different things, does anyone have any suggestions? Videos? Anything? They’re also very very very stubborn

Mastiffs have trouble with "stay" because their natural instinct is to be by your side....they eventually learn, though.

So do Labs and Goldens and many other breeds. Please don’t give in to that. It’s simply a matter of training them properly.

There is no way the dog you are showing is 160#. The size of his head, chest, bone structure, leanness of his loins, base of tail is not thick... I would say he is closer to 120#, 130# at the most. I have a 7 month old EM that stands 30" @ his withers, 39" chest, 31" neck, much larger/thicker head, the base of his tail is at least 2 times what the dog in your video has...and he only weighs 140#.
