The humor is gone from the later episodes of Brotherhood because the manga got seriously dark later on. I know right. They even got a movie for it, which is kind of boring, because it doesn't really relate to anything, but we never get to see the elrichs go back to imestrus. Oh well, at least they have each other in Germany. Personally, I kind of liked the bitter sweet ending, even though they could have just gotten someone from Germany to blow up the portal after going through it with a rocket.

I have heard a theory about that they are the same storry because when 2003 fma ended the truth was dissapointed but because the truth has god-like powers the truth just smiled and said "again"... and so the storry started all over and that's why the first op is called again :)... (I know it's probably more logical that there are just two diffrent storrys but I just think that this theory id a really cool concept :) )

Maika Mikaela brotherhood is based off the manga, 03 was gonna be but because the manga was coming out at the time they just decided to do a original story.
