I've read the translated japanese lyrics, and at the part about closing the mouth that says it's okay to lie to yourself, I thought it was talking about joker when he faced down Maruki. Or if it was about Sumire, when he helped her move past her life as Kasumi and start living for her sister, not as her. I'd like to honour this piece of beauty with my own reflections of the game's narrative, in the form of a poem I wrote. Persona 5 Royal was the first game I ever took time to sit down and beat, and when I heard this song I just sobbed. This has to be the best cover of it I've ever heard, and I made all those emotions from that day come back. Thank you.

Persona as a whole is a series thats great, but after you beat it once you'll never experience THAT feeling again. In a way I kinda envy but at the same time pity anyone who has never played it for that reason

Idk why this hurts me on some reason. This cover just reminds me about all the 4 yrs years of visiting my little sister’s high school choir performances. At first, I begrudgingly had to go with my parents but later on I started loving hearing each performance and watching the kids grow, learn & sing with each other. Also her class got REALLY good at singing by that point. But 2020 hit late into her junior year and still into her senior year (this year she’ll b graduating online probably) so the school wasnt able to host choir since then. I don’t really know how much missing those performances impacts my sister despite me being her older brother, but I do often try to keep her spirits up even while she’s also busy prepping for college. Also this cover reminds me of those times when four of their choir members would come out to harmonize, as the rest of her choir sung, and it really made it worth it for me to coming to each performance to listen. And It just hit me how long ago it’s been since the pandemic started that I havent heard one since.
