I read that salim question b about 10 times and still wasn’t sure whether to write from salims POV or my own so I just said fuck it and done it from my own pov they worded that so bad

I did the discursive essay on influential people, think it went well, did about 6 and a half pages. Then i did option B on the AI Text because i didnt understand one of the other B's and didnt fancy the third, so i did A on TEXT 1. Had to rush through A (iii) so id say i dropped marks there but otherwise, solid paper... the Bs were a bit dodgy though.

Q 2 on composition was so nice, should have done it, bottled the discursive essay and wanted a descriptive essay but nothing came up

Sorry for asking, but I did the 7th Composition ie. The Discursive essay on "the impact of influential individuals". Instead of naming specific people, I discussed types of influential people/professions and their impact. Would I be marked down because of this? Or is it an applicable answer?

If you spoke of professions as individuals within those professions, you should be fine.

Is it possible to get a copy of exam papers that have already been sat?

State examinations commission upload all the papers after the exams are over. They do them by a paper by paper basis so you can look at the ones like Home ec and English right now.

For question 6 when ur talking about “wonder” do u refer to it as in like asking yourselves questions and reflecting on something? Or does it refer to it as in like miracle, if that makes sense

It depends on how you interpreted the word and how you implemented your interpretation into your essay. As a word with a double meaning, you could have used one or the other, or both. As composition is a very free style of question it would have been perfectly fine in any way you interpreted it, as long as it is relevant and not too much of a stretch.

If you didn’t write the question B in salims POV how many marks will you loose

@@darraghnolan1700 i'd say the marking scheme would be the same but the people who did it wrong won't get full marks but would lose some marks but not all as the question was so weirdly asked and the people that got it right would be able to get the full marks

The P mark will definitely be affected, you were asked to write in his POV were you not? I didn't attempt that question purely because I didn't want to read the passage and the only thing of London I know is like big Ben lmao. But other than that, you should only expect the P mark to be affected by about 5 marks or so, remember they can't be too strict because P affects the L C and sometimes M marks too. I feel like many students did not write in Salim's POV, another reason for them not marking harshly

This is going to sound really stupid, and it is really stupid but I spent too long on (A) i and ii so then I skipped ili and did my composition, I chose number 6 but somehow I managed to misread the question completely and instead of writing about things in life that bring me "excitement" and "wonder" | wrote about things in life that have brought me joy Then to make things even worse I went back and done my (A) ii on my (B) text

ive unfortunately have done the same, i picked Text1 QuestionA and Text3 QuestionB, i spent too long on (A)(i)(ii) and skipped to Question B, for the composition i also picked question 6 however looking back i prob written more of a personal story than a personal essay 💀

That is not stupid it's completely normal, it was our first exam. Loads of people on the Reddit forum made similar mistakes and some even completely misunderstood part b. I did the same Section II as you, and honestly I think you'd completely get away with writing about things that bring you joy - it was broad, you won't lose formatting marks since it's a personal essay and the marks you lose for not referring to the question will be minimal, your mark will be properly reflected by the rest of your writing and ability. Well done and don't beat yourself up

I did the same thing, however if you were able to say how these things that brought you joy were exciting or brought wonder, then you should be good as that’s what I did. Easy mistake to make but it shouldn’t negatively affect your marks massively
