Anna, with respect, a quick point regarding 'into', if I may. 'Into' is written as a single word, if memory serves, and is used to talk about directions and destinations. After some verbs (e.g. throw, jump, push, put, etc) we can use both 'in' and 'into' to talk about directional movement. We prefer 'into' when we think of the movement itself and 'in' when we think more of the end of the movement - the place where somebody or something will be. E.g. The children keep jumping into the flowerbeds. Go and jump in the river. Much obliged.

When I was younger and my English was, let's say, at the upper-intermediate level, the thing I most struggled with, when it comes to prepositions, was the usage of on/onto.

Hi, Anna, I don't want to argue with you but it seems to me you can use the word 'onto'. Here is a piece of lyrics of the song "Caroline" by my favourite rock band Status Quo where they used this word: If you want to turn me onto Anything you really want to Turn me onto your love sweet love

Hello Anna, I would like to ask about mentioned wehicles (in/on). You said if we can walk around the ones, it is ON, because we are not just sitting. Well, my question is about airplanes. If I corrently understand I am on the board of the plane, so I am on the plane. Can I say "He is in the plane", while sitting on a small type of the plane, like Cesna (very small plane) where he can just sit and can not walk around ? One more question, if I will talk about things related to a position in a wehicle, do I understand correctly that it must be said with IN? e.g. The toilet in the train is located.... (the toilet cannt walk around, that is why I cannt say "the toilet is on the train").This is really cunfusing. :)Anyway, thank you for the lesson.

Hello Anna I'm watching this video right now and I would like to make an observation: In Mexico, dollars are not used as official currency; the symbol MX represents Mexican Pesos, Mexicans use "peso" as official currency. Greetings from Venezuela!! P.D: In My country (Venezuela), we use "bolivar" (VEF is the symbol) as official currency

Non english version is /Fi:do/ from a Latin word FIDUS = trusty or loyal. Probably a human version is Fidel! The name owes its popularity to Abraham Lincoln's big yellow dog called Fido, naturally in English version(!) LOL let's get back to prepositions :) Pozdravlenie, Zhanna!!

Thank you, Petar! Never ever I thought that someone would be explaining to me the meaning of pet's name! But this name obviously has some deeper meaning than other pet names. Abraham Lincoln's dog Fido....interesting. I am sure there were many other pets in White House before and after Lincoln. Do you know all the names of WH pets and the meaning of their names? I know that Obamas had a dog by name Bo. I suspect that Bo is abbreviation from Barack Obama. On prepositions: No, I am not coming back!!! :)
