It looks like the members didn't fully agree to making this interview... they were really tired from the tour and this was right after the last concert ended. I think that's why maybe Hyde didn't smile... or he was embarrassed... or he gets annoyed by this kind of requests that extreme fangirls ask. Hyde wanted people to appreciate their music and not just their pretty faces, I think. Because usually he's more willing to answer music related questions.

larc jounetsu Yes, I can imagine how tired and annoyed they would be having to answer questions right after their last show on a tour. And I have often noticed that Hyde would rather talk about his music than personal questions. I am looking forward to the next translation project! Thanks for your efforts!

Can smell the same anxiety from the interviewers too as they're speaking too low, going with their usual "ah sou desu ka?" everytime so as to drag the interview as the members are getting pretty tired (more like hungover I say)

I'm surprised how they're able to let them smoke & stuff ON STAGE & here on screen, live. If you do that here today (both in live stage events & interviews), you'd def have a ill image (atleast in my country where younger folks are a big part of our population, so naturally peeps have to be careful when on screen)

No they weren't rude they were just really shy and awkward when they were young, especially hyde and tetsu, they always appeared cold and somewhat aloof in interviews in the early day. Also here they had just finished a concert moments before so they were probably really exhausted. The hosts of this show were always acting overly excited and fawning over them like crazy fan girls, there's that as well.

@@ohheyitsgrace94 the host weren’t even that overly excited they were polite and asked normal questions. It wasn’t music related but neither was it related on their beauty? It was just abt how they feel rn stuff like that. Sakura is very weird, Ken is quite nice but the atmosphere is weird because their questions aren’t totally answered or when Hyde didn’t want to tell her what’s the accident like wtf? What was the point to mention it then. They’re giving a hard time to the hosts

@@Calilife2007 About sakura and the atmosphere being weird, maybe he was high on something and the others were aware of it? Or maybe they were just super exhausted after a concert and just wanted to get this interview over with? Hyde is a typical introvert, especially when he was younger, he wasn't used to talking in interviews, like it absolutely stressed him out to be talking on shows and their concerts. Ken is a lot more bubbly and like an extrovert. Also if you watch other interviews especially on this same show Hot wave, a lot of the time they wouldn't answer the questions to the point, they would just talk nonsense or about irrelevant things. I think it's just part of their quirks, they are just a bunch of dorks with a dry sense of humor, no ill intent. Just my opinion though😊

@@Calilife2007 Actually early Japanese rock stars all acted like this. Some of them were even pissed off and left. This band was nice enough to answer some stupid ass questions. I am pretty sure many L’arc fans prefer “rude cold” hyde than nowadays talkative down to earth hyde. And apparently you don’t know Hyde well or never watch his recent interviews. He’s always nice and kind it’s just he liked to pretend he’s cool during his early days.
