Actually, it's not uncommon (normal, really) for American celebrities to voice their political stances. It's very telling of Korean society's stance on entertainers that the hosts were so surprised.

their all buzzing out at how she doesnt give a fk nd shes sharing her opinion about whats happening bk home where as in korea if a celeb said something about anyone picking this rather then that they'll thrw the meanest fit and make shit all dramatic 😂

Jaay M .....honestly I was thinking the same thing, the difference is she can be open about her opinions while Korean idols are restricted to what they want to say
@LydieLyds6 жыл бұрын
yeah it's a big deal bc some of the korean broadcasting systems are owned by the korean government. if you say something against the government and talk about a particular candidate and how it does not align with your views you'll be blacklisted pretty much. it really sucks how that happens.

It’s evident that they’re shocked by her openness because in Korea famous people aren’t open about their political points because of how the “idol” culture works there and stuff so it’s nice to for this to be aired in Korea, so they start realizing famous people are people, they have heartbreaks, and they date and they most certainly can have political opinions whether they agree with them or not!
@SantiaLingamTheAwesomeCreature7 жыл бұрын
I love how they were shocked that Chloe was being very vocal on her political opinions. But, aren't Americans given the freedom of speech to relay their opinion? I thought most of the celebrities are vocal about it?

Generally, not many countries would be able to sound out their own political views. Whether is on national broadcast, foreign broadcast or even social media. So for a very Vocal exposure, some network might not air without acknowledgement from the known party/person.

She's completely wrong about why people like Trump. It's because he appeals to the poorer people who feel like they are being cheated. He blames entire religions for the countries problems and that appeals to people. It's not because they think he's funny.
@Angel_Espinal7 жыл бұрын
He's also funny he has no idea about how to manage a big country such as U.S.A, You should try to get the things for the most positive ways and honestly he's not good enough to be the president of what is U.S.A Nowaday.
@monsterkukie76787 жыл бұрын
No, he's got an appeal with the way he talks. The whole "politically incorrect" persona appeals to people. He's entertaining, so she's not totally incorrect. However, he does have certain policies that appeal to people more than Hillary's policies. And she's completely wrong about the whole WWIII thing.

2019. I'm glad we made it out of WW3 in one piece. Unemployment is at an all time low - but I guess that's not something appreciated by many Hollywood celebrities, since it's far removed from their experience. I still think Chloe is wonderful, though.

Well.... I will just disagree then. Trump is not the one that would've thrown us into WWIII. Everyone's applauding her, but she's no different than the celebs that jumped on the political bandwagon.... Now, I'm not defending Trump. He's nowhere near suitable to be our president, but still, Chloe doesn't seem to know what she's talking about. Everyone's applauding her for being open about her political views, but she sounds as ignorant as all the other celebs.
@kenzab.93756 жыл бұрын
Her view actually made sense and it corrolates with her previous statement that he has no foreign political experience which is a very dangerous thing for a president especially one who just accepted calls from random countries before he was even in the office he accepted a call from Taiwan which created even more tensions between China and Taiwan. He builds hotels in the capital and ask dignitaries from foreign countries to stay in them... He even has a lot of fishy business ties all over the world. The list could go on and on... He really is a national security threat and one wrong tweet from him could start something but thankfully (or sadly) foreign countries know he is crazy and they dont take him seriously, thats the only reason there wasnt issues between China and America after his Taiwan fiasco ...

Not all americans support trump, lets get that clear. Most of us want to leave this country because of him. The foreign policy that he has implemented already has broken many hearts. We try to stand up but are pushed back down by close minded people. Honestly wished that Bernie Sanders had a chance instead of hilary or trump, with those two running we were gonna lose either way.

Ann Kat ... She's right though. He has no experience. I would have been fine with this businessman in office if he wasn't racist and a bigot. If he were to give those a chance with no jobs cleaning up streets to get them off of them then that would be great but he's a fucking idiot. I honestly wouldn't have an issue with him if he actually cared for those that didn't have a constant income. He's only a nuisance to me because he simply doesn't care. He's just going about his campaign the wrong way. Honestly, I didn't really want Hillary but I honestly would have been better off with someone that has had or has a political stance rather than a businessman that honestly doesn't know what he's doing.

XD I actually want to see what happens to the US if Trump miraculously wins. I'm migrating to Canada or Europe if that ever does happen though hahaha
@KayeMusume8 жыл бұрын
+ling tjing Are you from the states? Is she not allowed to give her views whether its influenced or not just because she's a young celebrity? Our views arr shaped on personal experiences and you can't deny how much damage Bush's term has put the USA in. The citizens just don't want another president who creates propagandas in order to have an excuse to invade other countries while reaping off of their resources.
@KayeMusume8 жыл бұрын
+ling tjing You shouldn't take comments on the internet seriously though. Also if you read the context of my first sentence, it should sound sarcastic but I guess you couldn't detect that seeing as how you aren't from the US. Trump is seen as a joke here. No one is really taking him seriously aside from those brainwashed fanatics of his. He's a big, fat combed-over joke so you shouldn't assume everything you read. NEVER 100% believe the news that come from broadcasted news as they are fabricated and bent on making people think its the truth. Dude, all countries has have bad reps. No country is perfect. All territories started from bloodshed. Not all parts of Europe is bad and people are changing. The world is not as ignorant as it was a century before. So some people can be kind, mean, stupid, ignorant, racists, etc. You name it, all countries have it.
