Filip Tran henry is Chinese/Taiwanese but yeah, don't talk about about Asian cooking! I'm half thai and my mom once discreetly asked me what my friend said about her food while she was cooking. I told her my friend said it smelt good. My mom was like oh ok, i almost kicked her out. Lol

LOL That is true, but a lot of people would complain or say something bad about it. They were really nice tho cuz I think they didn't expect her to be that down to eat all that stuff. They even kept telling her that she could spit the food out if she didn't like it, but she ate it anyways. She is cool and I like that she was a good sport about it

+dream because if it was culture-like food and different from what other people usually eat, they wouldn't eat it either because of the ingredients in it or they simply don't like it. that'd be rude to the person serving the food because they would get offended by how they treat the food, similarly how they treat their culture.

+dream haha umm, that'd still be considered offensive to the person. like yeah, we get that you have never tried this before but that doesn't mean you should disrespect their culture food by spitting it out or showing distaste in it. there will sometimes be situations where you'd either visit your friends house or something similar and their family would serve you food from their culture. it's actually rude for the person tasting it. you would probably get offended if someone did the same thing to food from your culture.

I don't think he meant to offend her by laughing at all. You know, he must have known how hard to pronounce foreign language, because he would be still practicing it. I mean, the reason why many people including Henry was laughing is that it's not really common for a famous caucasian actress to speak Korean in that casual situation. I think it has something to do with Korean culture.

The ones who speak it well have parents who pay thousands of dollars a year for English education or those who send their kids to study abroad for a year or two.
