Been DOING AS an ALT for almost 17 years here in Okinawa...but I just applied directly at the City Offices all over Okinawa....It's fun depending on the school or city or district, You have to handle your own conversation class OR do a TEAM TEACHING with your co-Japanese English teachers ( 6 to 9 Japanese English teachers in a school ). Your job,except for "teaching" ? Well, like every school year , be ready to COACH / DIRECT/ COMPOSE- EDIT ENGLISH : SPEACHES, STORYTELLING, AND ENGLISH STAGEPLAY or ""SKIT"" for COMPETITIONS... So hectic doing practice / rehearsals ( imagine, coaching directing students that can't even read or pronounce English and let them memorize scripts wrtten /composed by you ( but you have to interview the contestants to get ideas )...Most of the time you have to coach both SPEACH and STAGE DRAMA at the same time like during summer break ----NO OVERTIME PAY!!! EVEN SAT OR SUN AND DURING AFTER SCHOOL...NO EXTRA PAY -----YOU MOSTLY FINISH BY 4PM BUT HAVE TO WORK TILL 7PM ( glenn rabenitas)

Hi, Sir! May tanong sana ako regarding sa CAV ng medium of instruction sa DepEd po. Pano po nakaCAV sa inyo dati kasi strict si DepEd sa format po and ayaw tanggapin ng agency yung ganung format po 😢

I got the same question po from someone. Dati po kasi we followed lang po ung format from Chesham then had the school sign it then submitted it po for CAV sa DepEd. Wala naman po silang ibang hinihingi or tinanong. They took it and CAVed it na po. Have you asked Chesham about this po?

Yes, I recommend you to get an English teaching job for at least a year before you apply. They don't count the practicum as work experience unfortunately...

Can't say for sure. But I know someone who used to teach physics in the PH but was accepted to work here. I think it's important to have an experience teaching English.

Ung loan doesn't cover the rent po. It covers ung initial cost ng apartment (ung parang deposit po sa apartment) ikaw pa rin po magbabayad sa rent 😅
