English Wheel Custom Panels

The English Wheel take time and patience but can produce very nice custom panels. In this video , I am making a custom radiator cover, but these techniques can be used an any panel that you need to make. I use the english wheel with and without the rubber band, pipe anvil, press brake, small press with dimple dies, tig welding, and the shrinker stretcher. This panel may look simple but has its own challenges and I made a few mistakes as well as learned from them. On the first two panels I used the pipe anvil before the english wheel because I thought that the pre form shape would help with english wheeling, but in the end the Press brake bending the back flange gave me the most strength and rigidity for the english wheel.
the video is longer but if you can hang in there, its a good little project with lots of tips and techniques.

Did you pre-fit the hood with the fenders adjusted before you made the radiator cover?

No, but I am going to do that before I do my final cuts and welding
