🚨 English words they DON'T teach you! - British Slang 🇬🇧
In this lesson, you will be introduced to British English slang, basically informal vocabulary that is commonly used across the UK.
These slang words can often be overheard in conversations on the streets in London, on public transport, and in movies. Some of these words and expressions are NOT appropriate for polite or formal conversation, but they are fun to learn and useful to know in order to understand popular culture from Great Britian!
So, if you find yourself confused when speaking to a native Brit, check out these 12 words (that they definitely dont teach you in English class! 😉)

As a native Brit I give this a 100% thumbs up. I would also add that in the North of England people address each other as 'love' or 'luv'. This is used to strangers when being friendly as well as amongst people who know each other. Women say it to men, other women and children. Men say it to women and children. But men don't usually say it to other men. In the north east of England where I come from a similar word, used in the same way is 'pet'.
