Good morning Tania. When I was young i used to look under the bed at night. If I see a spider it causes my worst knee-jerk reaction . Once coming back from school I saw one of them very high on the wall. It was a stricken moment and while I was screaming a long stick, which was on the corner of the walls. fall down on my food being it worse than the spider.

Hi teacher Tanya, thank you for your great lesson. Yes, i remember swimming in the little creek flowing in the woods close to my childhood house. After having dried my body i began putting on my cloths. When i put on my shoes i felt a soft stuff in one of them. I then swiftly yanked it off to check what it was. It turned up a baby snake slithering inside the shoe while i was swimming. I did not get stung by it but i was scared to death. It happened to be a nonpoisonous little creature and i released it afterwards.

OMG! That reminds me of another experience I had with a snake. I will have to make another video with that story. I did get bit by a snake once but luckily it wasn't poisonous! Keep an eye out for another story! I am so glad you didn't get bit and that you released the snake ok! Thanks for sharing your story!

Hi Tanya, i have a question. At 3:05 you said i hope i haven't offended you, why did you use present perfect instead of past simple? Can we use past simple in this situation? Like i hope i didn't offend you. Thank you very much
@EnglishCoach3Ts
@EnglishCoach3Ts Жыл бұрын
Yes. You could use either tense here. They are slightly different. They way I said it is more inclusive of anything I had said previous to that point. Past simple would assume one thing I might have said that was offensive. Great questions!

Hi Tanja! I have a story just similar as yours. When I was in my university we had a project to survey and draw the ancient buildings and we lived in the wild. One day in the early morning I woke by some rustling at my pillow. I found that was a centipede crossing my pillow. My reaction was just like yours.I was not stung as well but it was so scary!😂
