Włosy is hair and włochy is augmentative of hair as well as Włochy is Italy. It is a feature of Polish language that many of nouns have diminutives and augmentatives. A diminutive of włosy is włoski. Interestingly, włoski is also adjective and means Italnian :)

"Włochy" also can mean "hair" but with a negative expression. It's a antonym to euphemism (the best example of this kind of euphemisms: dog - doggy). Pies - dog Psisko - also dog but with a contempt or with nostalgia The same word but different value. I didn't find anything similar in English, only the other way with euphemisms.

Oh no! what a gaffe! the word '‘włosy' -hair ’ is countable in Polish but not in English.... how could i make such a mistake........ I know why, since primary school didn't like the fact that hair :"is beautifu" and not:" hair are beautiful...."xD i in Polish we say :they, włosy, 2 hairs,300000 hairs... heh , because there is a lot of them on the head ...ehhh and if i don't like something, my brain rejects it, it doesn't remember it.. lol....xD ehhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhxDale jaja
