Good evening sir, as per my previous commitment, today I watched this editorial session as your organization often closed on Saturday and Sunday respectively. Today's motivational quote is from my side “If you want to be powerful, educate yourself.” Editorial is concerning to the communal violence took place in various parts of Delhi. Summary: - The communal violence took place in various parts of Delhi in which 13 innocent people lost their lives together with over 150 were injured. The scuffle happened between supporters of CAA and anti supporters of CAA. The violence occurred where India’s top VVIPs live. The Delhi Police action seems, they are incapable to handle the situation. The violence had been planning for weeks and not emerged suddenly. First time, there was an indication in the month of December in which the police harassed the students of Jamia Milia Islamia inside the university. Besides, a group of masked rioters entered in the campus of JNU and beaten the students and the police stood there passively. Even rioters were identified through the picture but no arrest was done by the police. The Delhi police was also not reacted when a gunman opened fire at anti-CAA protesters. These things emerged as a big communal violence in Delhi where both sides were destroying each other. However, both sides have complained that they called police but no effective solution came. Union Home Secretary, Ajay Bhalla said that the situation is under control but he failed to explain properly. Inaction of Delhi Police in the communal violence raises many questions from the BJP as it is in power. Besides, policing and law and order in Delhi come under control of the Central Government instead of the State Government. The speeches of the PM and the HM which were delivered in the recent assembly election, encouraged communal polarization. The Union Minister of State for Home claimed that the violence was organized by the anti-social elements keeping in view of ensuing visit of Donald Trump to India. Communal Violence may happen anytime and anywhere if the police fail to control the situation. The Central as well as the state Government of the Delhi will have to show efficiency through arresting the culprits. In my notion: - Police of any state play an important role when we talk to control the Law & Order situation. In Delhi violence, the police’s action seemed they were ignoring and only watching the situation and they have no mean what is going on. There can be no denying that such communal violence occurred due to the negligence of the police. If the police had acted on the indications, which were shown earlier, such communal violence could have prevented. However, the Delhi police comes under the Home Ministry so it is also fully responsible for the violence. Besides, we often see that the leaders deliver speech in their rallies, adding communal things as well as other encouraging things related to caste, same thing was also happened in the recent assembly poll in Delhi in which the PM and the HM encouraged the people through communal angle. Think, violence is being occurred in the capital of India where VVIPs live then what will happen in other parts of the country. It is shame for our government and it will also have a negative effect across the world. Words which I learnt during the session are as under:- (1) Clamp down on something (Phrasal Verb) - Take stern action (2) Earshot - Audible range (3) Nerve centre - Operating Centre (4) Pro-CAA = Supporters of CAA (5) Wield - Use (6) Take over (Phrasal Verb) - Control (7) Woe - Anguish (8) At best is used for emphasizing something.
