Good evening sir, as per my previous commitment, today I watched this editorial session as your organization usually closed on Saturday and Sunday respectively. Motivational quote is “Tough situations build strong people". Editorial is concerning to COVID-19. In editorial:- China has done praiseworthy works for developing viral diagnostic tests to curb the pneumonia in the year 2019. After that, cases related to SARS-CoV-2 had been found in some places of China in which it has been constructed by two new hospitals with 2600 beds taking minimum time. It was surprised for all countries as China had maintained secrecy including the World Health Organization (WHO) which is a UN level organization. It often works for providing assistance in health related issues. China had shut down many cities but it could not effect the virus. If the China had intimated / acted timely it could have controlled the wide spreading of the virus. It appears China did not learn from previous outbreak which had occurred two decades ago while Kerala is the state which was controlled Nipah Virus outbreak in a very short time. It has taken three months for reporting the virus to the WHO. Initially, China was receiving minimum positive cases while it was increased suddenly like 900 cases with symptoms each day. In fact after initial reporting 44 cases to the WHO the numbers were reduced to 41 on Jan'11 and continued to remain the same till Jan'16. During community dinner was held in Wuhan the cases reported began rising speedily. In my point of view:- It is true that the China has made all efforts to tackle the epidemic initially. It made a big mistake which reported too late to the WHO about the disease. China is the country which thinks it has all the powers and most of the countries are relying on that why it is doing such types of activities. Country should protest against China as it could not be expected those who have veto power. These days, it has been noticed that while UN level organization want to take decision with the consensus of veto country either for controlling terrorism or blacklisting country under FATF guidelines, China usually used veto due to which an important decision is not taken. China is the country which usually tries to occupy disputed land along the border with various countries especially with India. It has compelled some countries to walk in its way as it has provided loan in huge amounts due to which they have little option. Indian government should minimize dependency on China and try to make self reliant whereby employment as well as development of the country could be increased speedily. Boycotting Chinese products are not the solution of this problem however, making and manufacturing self is the only solution of it.
