Good evening sir, Today’s motivational quote is “Happiness is found when you stop comparing yourself to other people.” Editorial is related to dispute between India and WHO related to upcoming report on excess COVID-19 deaths between 2020 and 2021. In my opinion:- Tedros Ghebreyesus who is the Director - General of the World Health Organization has visited India to participate in the Global Ayush Investment and Innovation Summit and in the meantime he has also decided to discuss the dispute between India and the WHO related to upcoming report on excess COVID-19 deaths between 2020 and 2021. The issue between India and the WHO is that India has claimed 5.5 lakhs deaths due to COVID-19 while the WHO has said that not only India but also most of countries have not shown exact data at the global level. According to the WHO, approx 40 lakhs people were lost their lives in India due to COVID-19 while India has clearly denied/opposed it. With the help of the article, writer has tried to say that if India has actual data, there is no need to do controversy against the WHO’s statement. The WHO which is an independent body has shown data with the help of mathematical formula so if India wants to clarify, it must constitute a committee, involving the experts so that the dispute could be resolved on time. Blaming each other is not solution to the problem, only exact data can clear the things. There can be no denying that the WHO has done well during the pandemic so Indian Government must do evaluation of the report instead of blaming the WHO. Truth can merely be hidden for a while but it cannot be hidden permanently. If India wants to show its power at the global level, it will have to build a good relation with the developed countries and the global organizations as well.
