Good evening sir, Today’s motivational quote is “It’s not your salary that makes you rich, it’s your spending habits.” Editorial is related to ups and downs in Pakistan’s politics. In my opinion:- Cricketer-turned-PM Imran Khan has been facing a lot of difficulties to save his Government in Pakistan since March 2022. His ally parties have left his party and joined oppositions due to which his government has been unable to produce majority in Pakistan’s Parliament. His formal request related to dissolving the National Assembly was considered by the Deputy Speaker of Pakistan’s Parliament. After that he had three bad options (i) resignation (ii) no-trust vote (iii) early elections. Finally, he has given consent on conducting elections. Before the beginning of National Assembly, he launched a campaign in which he made allegation against the opposition parties that they are planning conspiracy against his government with the help of foreign powers to dethrone him. Then, the opposition parties have said that Mr. Khan’s action for conducting elections violate the norms of the Constitution of Pakistan. Given the current political crisis in Pakistan, the prime question is what price Pakistan will pay for all this in upcoming days. Mr. Khan can only blame himself for all this as his most of policies have been rejected by the people of Pakistan. He adopted all bid for building Naya Pakistan, be it related to religious conservatism or anti-corruption campaign. In Pakistan, if any government wants smooth functioning, support of the Army is crucial while it seems that Mr. Khan’s Government has been failed to do. There can be no denying that Pakistan has taken huge debt from many international institutions and countries as well so it must focus on it else it will have to face many problems that are being currently faced by Sri Lanka. Besides, necessary steps related to controlling inflation are to be taken on time else it will have to bear the brunt of it in upcoming days.
