Remember to practice your intonation in the comments! Let me know which rejoinder you would use in response to these three questions and the intonation you would choose to express how you feel! 😲😂🙄 #1: Want to train for a marathon with me this spring? #2: The client backed out at the last minute. #3: Did you hear the big news? Many speaking listening classes in colleges and university don't have all this valuable and important information. I became addicted to her videos just watching them over and over so. Love you Kim.

Aww, thanks for sharing that you rewatch my videos again and again - that means a lot! You're right - most language courses don't focus on this information in classes, even though it's so important. I decided to focus on it based on my own experience as a non-native Spanish speaker, and by listening to the challenges my clients and students were having!

The lesson is so helpful yet the topic is rarely taught. Thank you. It would be great if you teach us more interjections.

I agree with you - interjections and rejoinders are so important! Here is the "sister" video with short responses and questions: kzbin.info/www/bejne/jH-WnmSrrJiEeNU

Yes, it differs from culture to culture and languages. In my culture eye contact is important.

Thanks for sharing! Eye contact is important in the US as well, but it's usually used in combination with rejoinders.

My brain goes blank in conversation idk what’s wrong with me.
@Englishwithkim4 жыл бұрын
That happens to everyone at some point! It can be helpful to think about questions to ask, or ways to respond (as we do in this video). It also depends on the reason you're having the conversation. If you're not interested in talking to someone, your mind might go blank because you simply don't want to engage!
