Practise is the American version of the British verb, practice. In 'British' English, 'practice' also serves as the noun.

You can learn the difference between effect and affect by learning the word RAVEN R : remember A : affect is a V : verb and E : effect is a N : noun

Please tell me how to pronounce the word ragged ? I check the dictionaries . So it should be pronounced as "Ragid "However one of my friends continuously tells me it should be pronounced as "reijd (in this sentence )

I remember by associating the E or A with a another word as a hint. So: "thE Effect, cAn Affect." The effect = noun, the thing. Can affect = verb, can do something.
