Hi Folks! love your channel. Thanks for all the tips you given me. I've just started looking at your videos on lasers. When I watched the vids of the Monport 40W CO2 laser and the cost I was intrigued. The G120 is a huge jump in price. The question is can you set up a rotary rig with the CO2 laser? Doesnt seem like there would be the room. What is the main advantages of the G120 to justify the huge price jump?

The GI20 advantages are speed, higher contrast and they would be a preferred choice when working with metals including the ability to color mark on stainless steel. The type of rotary would be different on the two machines. The CO2 would require a low profile roller and there would be more of a limit on the size of what you can put on the rotary. The CO2 advantages would be that it is enclosed and can handle a wider range of non metal materials. The two machines capabilities are very different so it would come down to materials you mostly intend to work with and if speed is a factor. If you want to work more with metal we'd suggest a fiber laser and if you work more with non-metal materials we'd suggest a CO2 laser. Both types of machines have their advantages and limitations, we have really enjoyed working with both machines. Thanks for watching!
