Plus and minus driver is definitely like a screwdriver though Philips the company does sell products in Japan

In Japan the plus refers to the JIA not the Philips screw pattern.

haha..oddly enough English words pronounce turn into the katakana style pronounce in the Japan and Korea, for instance back(バック),bucket(バケツ)and so on,that's even naturally to them than original pronounce 😅
