Watched the ending several times already and I think I finally understand. Common human bodies can't survive the genuine Qi of Combined Six Cultivation Power, but YBY has transferred his power to WKX, so at that time WKX already has immortal body. But as the furnace his meridians still destroyed and his hair turned white. Only if they have same feeling and both willing to sacrifice themselves for the other, they can protect each other when one of them is in danger by transfer their Qi and repeat all the process again. At worst, if ZZS doesn't have the same feeling, WKX will be like a living dead with all his meridians destroyed. If WKX told ZZS about this, ZZS will never agree to take the risk. Since they said "Ai ni" to show their feelings, I believe both are live well as immortals.

周子舒擔心他們倆永遠出不去了，溫客行情願陪他在這裡吃雪和冰維持生命，就像葉白衣這麼多年在長明山上一樣。你家老溫對你發起同居邀請~時限是永遠~~久違的“唇語糖”炸彈啊~~~也就是說“也不知道”，即便活著離開此處“你我若是活著離開此處”。以後也得長久隱居極寒之地“你願不願意跟我從此”食雪飲冰，沒完沒了地活下去啊！久違的傲嬌絮~這段表情太好品太靈動了~“那樣的活著，還是就此死去，”明明已經笑得這麼幸福，答案不是很明顯嘛~但就是習慣性釣一下老溫~~~（然後下一秒身體就非常誠實。）“我得衡量衡量。”這裡的小表情太可愛了~練功前阿絮說自己味覺嗅覺觸覺都沒了，感覺不到痛，說自己佔了大便宜。為什麼阿絮之前閉口不提自己五感漸失，現在卻說給老溫聽？他自然不是真的為自己因五感漸失而感受不到痛苦慶幸，而是說給老溫聽的。老溫，別擔心我，我感受不到痛。老溫強調疼痛重演時，讓阿絮切勿慌張，應該是怕阿絮中途睜眼看見自己白頭。其實練功還未開始，我已經看見了老溫眼底的淚光。剛開始，老溫比阿絮先閉上眼，阿絮眼神凝重的盯了老溫一會兒後，眉頭略舒才閉上了眼。我想，阿絮也是有那麼一些擔心老溫騙他的念頭的吧，但當他打量著眼前人平和的神色時，他終於還是成功被騙了。 兩人開始運功時的表情對比鮮明，阿絮是嘴角微翹充滿期待，以為之後就可以和老溫永遠相伴了~而被葉白衣蒙在鼓裡的老溫則以為這是訣別，表情隱含凝重不捨，眼神就像想牢牢記住阿絮的模樣，哪怕能多看一秒也好的感覺。全劇終必然要配兩人的專屬歌曲《天涯客》了~因為結局HE，所以這首歌終於應景了一次，不再虐我了（雖然為了過審弄得像悲劇結尾還是有點虐。）「蒼蒼事了功成渡寒江，夜茫茫杯中月影笑荒唐。」總是非常喜歡漸進~~「誰許我策馬江湖闖四方」，老溫突然睜眼，就知道變動要來了。「誰醉遍天涯夢醒不見故鄉，西陵下淒秋涼雨吻我窗」。老溫確認阿絮失去聽覺後才開始坦白，以防阿絮知道真相打斷運功。「任人憎任人謗，未妨惆悵是清狂」。老溫叫了兩聲阿絮。第一聲阿絮，比較平和。是試探阿絮聽覺有沒有喪失，如果尚未喪失，不能讓他有機會聽出異樣。第二聲阿絮，相比第一聲便急促了很多。他知道，阿絮再也聽不見他說話了。失落，遺憾，無可奈何。老溫真是將他一輩子的演技都貢獻給了他認為的最後時光（看第一遍時我完全沒有猜到他之前全是演戲），所以這也側面反映了愛的力量？都能讓人瞬間嫻熟運用新技能了。「春風吹得綠江南水岸」，老溫嚥下一口苦水：“我現在坦白，便不算騙你了吧？”（最後，他還是那樣的孩子氣）這裡也能看出老溫必然內疚於之前騙阿絮假死導致阿絮拔釘，所以才對再次騙阿絮一事介懷。「吹不暖人心霜。」“你說你一個天窗首領，本應心機深沉得很，怎麼我說什麼你都信呢？”「猝不及防，那是不是我們的光」因為是你啊，阿絮在你面前最放鬆，對你不設防才能讓你一騙再騙啊！ 這段BGM高潮配合著老溫開始發力，髮絲寸寸變白太震撼了~「相見恨晚幸未晚」，阿絮這裡的表情開始有異動，應該是意識到老溫運功有異了（按雙修來說之前兩人的真氣應該是交融著循環，但這裡老溫開始單方面輸入了）這段髮絲轉白的運鏡太絕了。白頭時，老溫的下眼角一直在抽搐，疼痛所致，或是忍住淚水。白頭的過程亦是經脈盡斷的過程，應當是老溫承受疼痛最烈之時，但他整個過程都是盯著阿絮。他還想在多看看他。或者，看著阿絮，他就不覺得疼了。「不再辜負四季花」。前一秒還是黑髮飄飄，後一秒就見一屢白髮（窒息）「將古道西風瘦馬」然後鏡頭立刻轉到白髮全景，視覺衝突很抓人。「換小橋流水人家，萬里河山萬家燈，往事如煙浪淘沙。將平生霜雪，與君煮酒烹茶。」 老頑童葉白衣忽悠老溫ing~“我有一個法子可以救他，不過要用你的性命去換。老溫毫不猶豫，一秒答應，“求之不得”。這時老溫還不知道阿絮是因為自己而瀕死，所以這種迅速的反應更顯情深。“回答得好”葉白衣這句話就有意思了，從用詞到語氣到表情明顯就是暗示之前是在試探老溫，看老溫願不願意為阿絮付出生命，溫周二人多次讓葉想起自己和容長青年輕時，自己和容沒有結局，那他就成全兩人吧（27集已知阿絮對老溫的愛，這裡就試探老溫對阿絮的愛）。而且根據原著，當時葉就是以以命換命的心態讓因練了殘缺的六合心法而走火入魔的容將功力傳給他，反而陰差陽錯自己練成了真正的六合心法，同理類推，功成的一個條件可能是一方毫無保留以命換命當爐鼎的決絕，所以之後葉白衣試探成功也沒告訴老溫真相。（葉白衣在殘缺功法下救人都沒死，老溫現在被傳的是完整的更不可能死啊，完整的六合心法修煉方式和葉當時救容不一樣，根據後面的發展應該是能最終讓雙方同時練成，而不是像葉和容一方練成一方沒有）

I think this is one of the most painful moment in WOH. No matter if Wen Ke Xing survived or not. Imagine you are ZZS, you are hoping for a long happy ending with your Zhiji. After the ritual is over, you can feel all your senses coming back. You are so happy. Everything will be alright. Then you open your eyes only to see your Zhiji lifeless, not moving. You can't do anything as you are trapped in the armory. My brain can't even comprehend what ZZS must be feeling at that moment. Even if there was no ep 37, this is beautiful, tragic but still a beautiful ending...
