It was a really good series but I felt cheated that after Li & Duke Su got married we didn’t get to see them together, one quick kiss then he was gone, after all the build up between them it was disappointing. And I especially wanted to see them reunited at the end at the tree as we didn’t know for sure if it was just her imagination or if he’d really survived. The problem I have with Chinese dramas is that there’s so much censorship in regard to even basic kissing, 40 episodes and just one 10 second kiss, it’s beyond prudish & unrealistic.

I understand from your pov but for me there wasn’t enough of them being together after they got married because they had so much chemistry on screen, that’s what made it so watchable, you don’t often find in Cdramas such a realistic connection between the female & male leads, ‘both’ being such talented actors. So therefore I wanted to see that build up between them come to fruition in their married life, meaning just them interacting together. So that was a let down on the part of the director as it all felt so rushed at the end.

no, usually cdramas are dubbed by voice actors, because chinese has lots of local dialects, so in order to make it understandable for everyone watching they have to dub over it with the "standard" accent
