Dear Miss Gill, I am back again, just hold on with my practice but yesterday I recognized that there is still so much I have to learn, but its getting better I am able know to think about environmental problems, because I am not completely focused on trieying to understand. What I learned is that all over the world are a lo5 of different ways of understandig how live works. Thats a fact what is making communication much more complex. But thats in every language, thats something. See this qords please as a writingexercise I know its still not perfect. Wish you a nice day greetings Ela

I’m a nonnative English speaker or English user from Sri Lanka, and I highly appreciate the way you follow to elucidate some important points or some important parts in this language. Yes, as you emphasized at the beginning of the video, the word “keep” is frequently used in our day-to-day life in different context. So, right usage of this wonderful word is of utter importance. I love watching your videos on KZbin because I feel that you’re a really experienced cum mature English teacher. Good luck!

Jill, lovely to see that KZbin doesn't just need to be dominated by youngsters. Good on you! Im also an English teacher who is about to teach this language point and you gave me such clear usages that I could include in my classes. Thanks a million.

I don't know if it is correct, but I made these phrases: # I don't have much money to spend by taking tip to the taxi driver. # I have a diary not to make notes about my life, but to write a list of few things in my day by day. # A secret is not to share with anybody else, is to keep it with ourself. # Sometimes I keep a big building or another fix pointI when I am in a place unknown so I know where I am, I won't get lost. Thanks ever much, teacher Gill!

"I used to keep a diary when I was thirteen years old and I kept it until I turned 15." I took the opportunity to put this lesson into practice by using a past fact of my life with the verb "to keep". Now I'm going to make up another sentence with the verb "to hold": "I think that young guy is already a father, because he was holding a baby. Well, maybe so maybe not. Who knows?"
