I think it should be "at" not "in".
@haziqshaukat37134 жыл бұрын
@@Mirador1 We actually use both in school and at school, for slightly different situations. At school means the person is literally, physically, inside the school. ... In school means the person is studying in general (usually at college or university) but not necessarily inside the school building at that moment.
@arulrj47584 жыл бұрын
@@Mirador1 I think "in" only correct. "At" and "in" can both be used in some situations example "at school" indicates morely the location not particularly inside the building may be outside or may be inside the building but "in school" indicates particularly inside the school building.

I speak English as a second language and learned the grammar rules in school since elementary. The only way I was able to differentiate these prepositions is by reading English literature and other written materials so I was able to get more exposure to the English language. I also like watching English films and listening to English songs.

@whatevergoesforme51293 жыл бұрын
@@final1064 I come from the Philippines, a former US colony and that is why American English became our second language. We started learning English grammar in elementary but we use English as a medium of instruction starting from preschool onwards so we have become familiar with the English language at an early age, especially when many families living in the National Capital Region even use English at home with a mixture of that region's language. Of course, sometimes our mother tongue gets in the way of learning English well, but if you study in a very good school, your English is going to be above average, with some being native-like.

If you want to say that you are 'directing your eyes in order to see something' then you say you are 'looking at' something
@aurangkhantareen88975 жыл бұрын
The phrase "He is looking" is grammatically incorrect. Look is a verb of appearance. And there is not present continuous for the wood look. Instead present simple would take the place of present continuous. The phrase should be " He looks at."

'At' door or 'on' door? Eg. Someone is 'at' the door? The above example is right.. Right? So when to use 'on'? Or 'in'? When position is considered?
@raffiart51215 жыл бұрын
That very much depends on your relative position to the location you are talking about. If you are talking to your friend miles away from the airport, you will say “I’ll meet you at the airport “ but if you are right in front of the airport you will say “let’s talk about this in the airport “ If you are traveling by the train, you will say “I am on the train” if you are trying to emphasize your location, you will say “ I am in the train “. I hope this helps.
