Ronnie, Some Portuguese words are also quite similar to both English and Spanish, for example: "acidente" to accident, "calma" to calm, "decente" to decent, "final" to final, "honesto" to honest, "ideia" to idea, "Júlio" to July, "quilômetro" to kilometre, "legal" to legal, "mágico" to magic, "oliveira" to olive tree but "azeitonas" to olives, "palmeira" to palm tree but "palma" to the palm of the hand, "reação" to reaction, "severo" to severe, "taxi" to taxi, "união" to union, "zona" to zone.

The "e" in Spanish is not like the sound of "speed" or "need" is like de sound of egg or bed. And we do have letters as q and y, that was a mistake, indeed the x was on the board in the word taxi.

I really liked this video but we need to be careful as "blando" in Spanish means soft and not bland, bland would be "soso" or "insípido". It is a false friend.
