Thank's a lot, I'm From morocco, English is my third language after French and my maternal tongue Arabic, and I am teaching English to help students understanding it. May be because I was lucky to learn American English, before I had to study it at school. I remember my first classes when my English teacher asked us to make a sentence with the verb "get up", I'd said: " I usually ge-r-up at seven."... she had asked me: "are you American?", I'd said: "No ! why?", she'd said: "you're speaking...

hi Ronnie, could you please make a video explaining the different in pronunciation between f and ph like face and phase
@PhuongLehnue9 жыл бұрын
+Marci Garcia you should use Oxford dictionary to know more detail. Almost "ph" was pronounced 'f'. And about differrent about face and phase is syllable. face /feis/ - phase /feiz/
@edwardqueen579110 жыл бұрын
Hey Ronnie, I'm sorry to comment here three years after the video was posted, but I've just watched this video and I'd like to make a suggestion: whenever we _read_ the letters on a screen or paper, we don't need to pronounce them in the same language as the person who wrote them, but we do need a standard when _saying them out loud_. See where I'm going? I recommend making a video about the NATO phonetic alphabet. You know - Alpha, Bravo, Charlie etc. They're just non-ambiguous names for the letters, so that for example "F" won't be misheard as "S", or "V" as "Z", and so on. Cheers!

Best teacher ever agreed , my challenge is : I can’t understand when people are spelling over the phone, f sound like S , T sounds like P , what Can I do
@kristinakamarauskas86914 жыл бұрын
Even English people have that challenge. If someone says "F" and it sounds like "S", then clarify by asking, "F" as in "Frank"? Or "S" as in "Sam"?

Thank you once again, I'd like just to propose one or two stuffs, first, I hope that you make a bit longer videos and write a bit larger -sorry to say that- just a bit O.K, that cause most of the students watch and download them on their i-phones or i-pads, as a 3gp format and that's really comes with a bad resolution... As concerns me I'm trying to focus on your pronunciation and your easier method to explain such an easier lessons... each word goes out of your mouth so fluently and so easily.
