good decision nice ebike....but do me one favour ..if u ever go with ur bike put the electric out or choose pas 0 for manual higher pas in the menu let u run like usain bolt lmao ...otherwise if the pedal still runs just a lil turn...and the motor is working and the bike gonna drive alone ...u alone and pulls u by standing beside... and u got no chance to grab the brakes ....i had a lil accident with..its kind of dangerous so always put electric mode out and pull it just manually especially in higher pas gears on ur display!

Hey, I can totally make one. It's gonna take a while. I'm working on a comparison video of this bike and the same bike lo26 currently. For these range tests a lot of variables can affect the range, battery, weather, road conditions and the way I ride. Also power assist 1 to 3 drains slower than power assist 4 to 5. For the video here's the plan; Sensible riding between the speed of 20 to 35kmh, riding a normal route not just flats. This is the fairest way of doing this since not everyone has flat roads and not everyone rides at full throttle. Sound good? :) If not just add a reply

I'll try to do a range test this week, but the weather has been real bad and restrictions for corona has stopped me from going too far haha! Anyways heres the plan: 1st test would be for normal casual use so only using pedal assist (PAS) 1-3 and the second test would be a stress test with PAS 4-5 (really drains the battery fast). I'll do a simulated commute point A-B and then B-A. I find doing test on flat areas and just going around them really inflates the range of these. Let me know kind of test you want to see I'll try to make a video of it :) If I'm not able to film this week here a little information on some of the testing I've done so far: My weight 85/87KG with bag. Top speed 42km/h pedal assist 5 and pedalling hard (this is going by the speedo on the bike) will do a more accurate test with gps data :) Longest range I've done so far is 45km with level 1-3 PAS and pedalling and still had 1/2 bars left on the meter. (Cruising speed for level 3 is around 30km/h while pedalling)

@@simplycurious61 I'd say 40kmh/24mph is the top speed on the default settings I'll measure with the gps to compare. At that speed though pedalling is too light, as they say you run out of pedal haha id recommend changing to a cassette/chair ring with more teeth.

@JeffyTology
@JeffyTology 4 жыл бұрын
Hey Gemma, the electric side of it is pretty good! There is a pedal assist that kicks in after you pedal one or two revolution and there is also a throttle so if he has a hard time pushing the pedal to start he can use that instead :) Once the bike gets going it's a lot easier to pedal as well! Hope this helps

Thanks for the video! Do you have to leave the key connected to the battery when riding? Some ebikes require that. Also, does the motor cut-off once you apply the brakes? It's a safety feature also in some ebikes. Cheers!
@JeffyTology
@JeffyTology 4 жыл бұрын
For this bike me and a few others find that once you turn the key to lock the battery in you can ride the bike even without the key. I my self ride with it on since I take out my battery to charge. As for the breaks cutting off the engines yes it does cut the engines when I use the breaks . In fact even if you are still turning the throttle it won't let any power to the motor :)

Hi Jeffy. Thanks for the vid. I'm about to buy one of these. It's coming from Germany through amazon. Will they charge customs duty etc? It"s expensive enough without taxes on top. Just wondering how stable and comfortable this bike is. Those handlebars look very high - can they be lowered? Thanks.
@JeffyTology
@JeffyTology 4 жыл бұрын
Hi Jal, If you're from an EU country and its coming from an EU warehouse there shouldn't be any customs duty. As for the stability and comfortability, its pretty stable even at high speeds and its also pretty comfortable due to the wide tires. The only thing i'd suggest is to lower the seat a tiny bit so you can reach the ground better when stopped, since the handlebars a bit high it feels a bit awkward when stopping and going again if the seat is set to my optimal pedal position. Lowering the seat will make the pedalling slightly compromised but most people who will ride this will user power assist so it negates it :) I have another ebike (samebike lo26) has a low handle bar and I feel more comfortable setting the seat for the optimal position. As for the handlebar it is pretty high, it can be lowered but its pretty high still. In the video its the lowest I can set it. But its actually more comfortable that it looks, since your back will be straight, compared to a normal bike :)

@@JeffyTology Thanks Jeffy that was very helpful. So EU laws are still in effect for us? I tried to get a bike on amazon Japan last week. Richbit TOP016 folding (through remambo). After ordering l realised there would be astronomical shipping and customs costs. Just got out in time lol.
@JeffyTology
@JeffyTology 4 жыл бұрын
Yeah anything coming from the EU, as soon as you go import from a none EU country then you'd get hit with tax and import fees. Also each country has a different threshold for the price of an item so check your local import laws. So basic rule is if its from an EU warehouse it should be safe

@JeffyTology
@JeffyTology 4 жыл бұрын
Hi, i'm working on a review right now! but it can climb light to medium gradient hills no problem. Do you know how steep the hills are in your area? if they are too steep you'd have to change gears and. pedal a lot and help the motor out since its a brushless hub motor, hub motors don't have as much torque as mid-drive motors. This Ebike has no alarm, at-least my one anyways and as for the lock I bought a Kryptonite evolution.

I'm looking at security too, these are a real target. www.aliexpress.com/wholesale?SearchText=cycle+alarm&d=y&origin=n&catId=0&initiative_id=SB_20200612203240 has a few items, I have a couple of the alarms with remote control and they are great, sensitive and loud, but useless when wet, going off all the time..I'm wrapping one in cligfilm to see if that helps, if it does it will be perfect. Got a GPS tracker for under the seat coming too, the type that takes a SIM just in case. Those disc brake locks would be good too, if they fit the disc holes and don't require drilling one out. Just ordered one from dhgate. A black one. I’m 92kg and. 6 ft How much of a issue will it be for riding around in the city for leisure and what shall I do to the bike once it comes in regards to this
@JeffyTology
@JeffyTology 4 жыл бұрын
Won't be an issue at all, the seat and handle bars go up pretty high. I'm 5'10 and feel pretty comfortable for me, my brother has actually been using this bike more and he's 95KG same height as me and he rides it with the seat lowered just cause he doesn't like to tippietoe when stopped. Not sure if you're asking for advice about city riding or what to do to the bike when you get it so ill answer both. -Make sure you get a patch kit for the tires and keep the bike at power assist (PAS) 1-3. You won't be draining too much battery and you'll be cruising around 25-30kmph. -As for when you get the bike, make sure every screws/bolts are tight, align the breaks, change the break cable position (mine came with front break on the left lever, don't like that at all), pump up the PSI of the wheel close to the max recommended to avoid wheel punctures (since its has wide tires max would be like 20PSI). -For your height I find its a lot easier to ride the bike when you set the seat post close to the optimal position for your legs. I set it up that I can still tippietoe when I stop edited added more!

JeffyTology thanks for the advice brother. What I was gonna say turning and going round streets and pavement is it easier with these or u need more control as opposed to a pushbike? And another question . Replacement parts ! Do we need to get from China or is they available in uk like Halfords ? Eg new tyres
@JeffyTology
@JeffyTology 4 жыл бұрын
It's somewhere between a pushbike and a motorbike, it's a bit heavy being 30kgs but it pretty much is as nibble as a pushbike. It has fat tires so the bike absorbs a little bit of the bumps much like motorbikes. As for spare parts, check your local bike shops if they have 20x4 tires and or inner tubes, I'm pretty sure they will most likely have it, If they don't have it I've seen some on Amazon too. For other parts like break pads, break discs, etc... They are pretty much standard so locals shops will defo have them. The only things you will have to order from China is the batteries or replacement motors and electronic if something happens to them.
