Engwe P275 Pro | Commuter & City eBike !
In this video (which is probably my last ever eBike review), I take a look at the P275 Pro! This is a city style commuter bike - with no gears and no 'normal' chain. It uses a carbon belt and has an automatic hub which selects the best gear based on your cadence / load. There is a mid-drive motor which has a torque as opposed to a cadence sensor. Build quality is good and the bike has a very minimal design. A loading rack allows for pannier bags to be fitted and the front light is built into the frame. As stated, the design is clean and minimal. A number of power settings give varying levels of assistance and this bike is entirely UK road legal.
What I like:
Sleek and minimal design
No mess with the carbon belt
Very quiet Bafang mid-drive motor with torque sensor
Ideal commuter bike if no hills (see below)
Claimed 260km range (in lowest power setting and under ideal riding conditions)
What I don't like:
Inability to select the gear I want - can be difficult when encountering hills
Frame is slightly too small for me at six ft tall

Nice review, I've already got one but have been thinking about swapping out the rear hub for an 8 speed one with control specifically for hills to take it off road and stay in the low power modes because I find the only option for some hills is to be in boost to keep you going up at a decent speed

I love road biking on my road bike but I stopped doing it about a year ago when road improvements near me we being made and the amount of times cars were hell bent on getting past me a small section that had cones and was narrow put me off nearly getting knocked off several times so know what you are talking about there mate. Second :o) Good to hear it complies with UK law as some are not on public roads. Like the sound of no chain and no mess, for me me positives than negatives, as I do not like faffing about with gears, especially as I would not want to be up and down hills now. For me, I would not want to be biking out in the rain and nice it has got a rack, stand, lights and thank goodness, a horn as well, which ever bike should have (imo). Looks like it is better on the flat and not too much off road but fair play, it may not be meant for off road, cheers Alan

I have no affiliation with manufacturers etc but if you have an issue with handlebar height you either need to alter the handlebar shape or the stem height/angle. It is not up to manufacturers to build a bike to fit every user.
