Wow, ok you answered a lot of my questions in one video about color. I have went through so many conflicting theories on YT that I was confused. This cleared everything up. Thank you for all your hard work in creating these videos. All your techniques worked perfectly in Affinity photo, sorry I don't use the companies that lock you down with subscription chains. Any many people don't know that Affinity is on par with photoshop or even better in certain areas.

Great lesson! Do you turn the pencil between passes? Also when drawing wrinkles etc.? I think about turning the pencil away from slightly flattened spot at the graphite tip?

Thanks, Kimberly! It's 9 x 10.5 because Moleskine sketchbooks come at a slightly different size than the typical 8.5 x 11.

Thanks for replying 😊 I have trouble getting much detail in, but I tend to draw really small (like 3"x4" cause I'm a resource hoarder lol) maybe I need to try drawing larger so I can get more detail and variation in shading

I've been studying creature design for a few years and love working with value/ grayscale, but whenever it come to the coloring......such a pain since I'm not really good with colors. I'm currently exploring with the Gradient map and now just found this tutorial :D Thank you Bob (if you don't mind), good stuff as always. :D

It's a tricky transition but just spend time making sure your grayscale is spot on.
