Bobby!!! I didn't realize it was you until just now! That first monster sketch looked awful familiar - then you said your name. Good to see you and your work on YT! Now I get to hear the words from The Man himself! Thanks for doing these; I'm learning a lot!

If you are drawing along with him I would recommend drawing a “bad” stiff version like he did so you can know what muscle memory you don’t want to stick with. It can help you to find what areas you are weak in to correct them

6:47 my problem is motivation. I KNOW that I COULD draw really good if I put the effort and time into it, but I lack the energy to do so. The only thing that might help is getting new art supplies cuz that excites me enough to start drawing again.

Where does the passion for drawing come from, knowing that I can write a silly text in less than a minute, I miss drawing, it was a part of life that became very cheap .

I’m mostly interested in realistic functional stuff rather than what is “cool.” I already have the outside design. Now I want to figure out the true underlying anatomy, so it can be accurately simulated in 3D software.
@Luka118018 сағат бұрын
I’m more interested in how to design internal anatomy, in full detail for realistic 3D animations with actual simulations of skin deformation based on said underlying anatomy, but with figuring out the muscle, then bone, shapes and configurations based on existing concept art of the character and/or creature. Do you draw muscles and/or bones on top of the concept art as separate layers, keeping them within the frame of the concept art character’s limbs?

I enjoy these tips, im currently in school (on winter break right now) I’m majoring in animation, so it definitely helps me to know what I truly need to do in art school in order to be able to be set up for success/survival. A part 2 would be very nice! Life is difficult…

I have no idea. I don't pay attention to the likes or dislikes. A lot of the dislikes I get are because I call people out.

My portfolio right now is full of mostly photos and digital art, when trad art is where I really want to excell and create. Merry Christmas your videos really help!

Your content is excellent and very inspiring, I normally saw it with translated subtitles, I noticed that now it has an audio track in PT-BR, it helps a lot with understanding, I've been interested in this area, I don't know if I'm going to try to work with it, I'm in the development phase. learning to draw and sketch is really fun

Contra is one of the first games I remember playing, we have a decent amount of NES games somewhere.. I'm working on trying to apply the technique you had shown to thumbnail spaceships, which is similar to a class I had bought on gumroad some time ago for coming up with mech designs. I want to put those in a video game, but I'm in that phase where I struggle with artwork and programming even though I know I can do it from experience. I've done both in the past.

As a former art student, it just got to the point where every project for me it just all blended together to the point where I just lost interest in the assignments and never finished my projects for the class. Still got good grades, but the work never felt fulfilling to me as a student. This is why I dropped out, and now I'm on my own journey, and I'm far more excited to draw and create now more than I would as an art student.

If you look really carefully at #5, you can clearly make out a cute little 'Winnie the Pooh' bear inside the actual sketch itself. There is a little raised eyebrow with a little dot for an eye, and a distinct muzzle/nose. there are even ears. I'd love to know if anyone else can see it. Maybe you could name this sketch 'Winnie' 🧸😊💙
