Hi I have a Netgear d7000 apparently there is no more updates for it 😢😢 is there another way I can help this modem/router working as I love it does everything I need

If it does everything you want hold on to it. If not it's time to move on. End of life means end of life unfortunately. Netgears next step up is the Netgear Nighthawk D7800. I had the D7000 and it just worked for a long time but now I'm using the TP-Link AX1800 and it's fine.

How do I know its fitting the hardware Just by useing it from the site of the same router??

If there is no way to automatically check for available updates you will need to find the router's exact model and version number and compare that with what is available on the manufactures website.

The download is not straightforward...the link takes you to several pages. I didn't even see the word "download" I have up along the way. It is tricky.
