I have one of those machines which I haven’t used yet. Thank you for showing me another clever way of using it. Here in Australia when I was growing up we always called erasers, rubbers. Then the word became known to mean something else so people started calling them erasers. I still call them rubbers at times without thinking. 😊

Wow wow. I just got this machine from my daughter for Mother’s Day. Thank you thank you for all the awesome tips. Especially, how you can use your regular dies and the acetate trick. And I have to say eraser in 🇨🇦 but to be honest I like the sound of rubber better. I had such a laugh. 😂

I just started foiling on my new Glimmer machine. I learn so much from your videos. Never saw anyone use projector sheets with dies. Must try that. I have also used the back of the dies as well as metal and plastic stencils to foil. Stencils give beautiful backgrounds. Looking forward to more videos on foiling from you!

Hello Christine. I cannot tell you how much I enjoyed this video! I remember when I tried foiling from a die, and was sooo excited with the results! I had never seen it done before and was very excited to share the technique on my channel. Only after reading the comments did I learn that this technique was shown by other crafters. I was so bewildered as to how I could have missed those foiling videos since I am ALWAYS playing and testing the limits of my supplies and tools...and watching other crafting videos to learn and be inspired. You sound as excited as I was when I thought of a new (or not so new) use for my dies. Your technique of adding projector film definently steps it up to another level...bravo! Thank you for thinking, playing and then sharing your brilliant idea. I love it...and you made me laugh too!

What a wonderful invention - fancy using the old overhead projector sheets! You're FANTASTIC! With modern technology this stuff is sort of outdated BUT you found a very good use for it. Thank you for this video. Lovely and peaceful to watch and listen to. Now I have to find where we hid these sheets at the church.

I will try your acetate trick. Will get more mileage out of my dies this way. Thanks for being creative with process as well as design! Have fun with the Glimmer. I don’t add my two top plates until after I disengage the unit. Less slippage that way. I tried the heat resistant tape hinge but wasn’t that keen on it.
@Chrissieannie
@Chrissieannie 2 жыл бұрын
Thanks for this... It is a learning curve isn't it! It's quite tricky to disengage the unit, that's why the plates slip about. I'll sort of my method eventually, thanks for your insights!
