If they’re referencing Edgar Allan Poe’s Black Cat, the cat definitely means Jealousy. In a way, for me, It’s as if they’re trying so hard not to het jealous but they willingly chase the cat, eagerly even. If we’re to connect it with the title track, it makes sense even more.

I do actually, they're all fighting over the black cat in the coffin which in my opinion represents engenes. They all want the black cat all for themselves, so they get jealous of each other and try to get rid of each other to steal the cat. First, Sunoo runs away with the cat, gets hit by heeseung and we can see the cat flying in the air. Then Jake gets it in the elevator with the others, and then Ni-ki freezes the whole elevator to steal the coffin with the cat, before jungwon and Heeseung take revenge by trapping him in a closet and trying to kill him, but as we know, the 7 vampires are immortal and can relive as long as one of the 7 is alive. So ofc nobody gets rid of nobody

So I think the cat represents jealousy. It's like Schrodinger's cat it's both alive and dead. Jealousy is both good and bad. The jealousy fires them up and motivates them but they hate the feelings and thoughts it provokes in them. They don't like the feeling for jealousy but they are compelled to fight for it and fight over it.

i think the reason why this song is called brought the heat back is because their jealousy towards engenes (represented by the cat) is making them feel this burning sensation when in fact vampires don’t produce any body heat. it also explains why there are shots in this mv with a thermal camera that shows how theyre burning up.

Its just a theory and assumption I heard somewhere that cats represent jealousy When the owner doesn't show much attention to them and shows attention to someone they become possessive and start scratching and try to gain attention Because they showed many cats and actually cats don't have much jealousy than humans and enha isn't humans here so it's the new feeling they're feeling where humans feel so they showed from the perspective of an animal. There is some relation between cat and vampires. 1. Cats don't like vampires 2. Cats are effective predators of vampire bats. 3.I think it might have something to do with the fact that cats are the guardians of the under world, and vampires are the Un-dead, So the cats don't like them cause they are between the under world and the living world.(Especially black cats)

lol looks like maknae line vs hyung line but also every man for himself. they are fighting to win the cat. cat = engene? the missing cat poster right before sunoo gets hit by a car states the cat is a her and the phone number to call is engene birthday (10-09-2020) when heeseung opens the coffin the maknaes appear in the coffin (they tricked him and already swapped the real cat coffin😂) they’re all playing tricks and locking each other up and stuff. in the end they are still searching for the cat for a long time some inspiration to the mv theories : pet cemetery by stephan king, the ending shots similar to coraline and the nightmare before christmas, thriller michael jackson, the poster behind jungwon - riddle of the black cat, the black and white car scene- kill bill. the whole mv was unhinged and chaotic, i loved it, so fun and funny- jay getting hit on the head with a flying fish singing yeah yeah yeah cracks me up. its all like a mix old old timely horror/ thriller movies and slapstick comedy all in one apparently some old vampire folklore does say that vampires can turn into cats, and yes cats 9 lives and immortal vampires could be similar, they room with the carpet it seems like the boys are cats with scratching posts? also cats are very jealous animals i’ve heard, so that’s how it would tie in with the jealousy theme of the song.

My theory: If u see it all of them like this ‘person’ in XO MV and they had to do rock,paper & scissors for who get to confess to ‘person’ but at the same time the rest was still flirting with the ‘person’. SH look sad on the mattress maybe he was rejected. But in BTHB MV they were openly fighting for the ‘cat’ openly maybe cos SH failed his confession and why SH was at the back staring in the lift. At the end they still couldn’t find the ‘cat’ cos the ‘cat’ was hiding/rejected them. The ‘cat’ could be the ‘person’ that HS was flirting in XO when he say whether the ‘person’ wants to go towards the moon and in this MV we see the cat in the moon. Definitely Enhypen struggled a lot to this side B. They hired the director of Armageddon's music video for this, Nicola Formichetti (Lady Gaga Fashion Director) for style, Jam Republic for choreography (and ni-ki!) And A Music was produced by the same genius of Bite Me. Can I say that Jay and Jungwon loved it? !! My theory: They basically were jealous of something or someone and they were basically killed by jealousy, which explains why Sunoo was hit by Heeseung's car, Jake crushing Jungwon with the coffin, if you look more closely, ni-ki Freezes the members, in a small jungwon, ni-ki and sunoo coffin are, but Heeseung throws the same coffin through the window, Heeseung locks ni-ki in that big coffin and in the next clip breaking the same coffin with ni-ki and jungwon beating him With a club, and Jungwon throwing a fish beating Jay with it, while Jay is singing his high grade, if you look closely, you can see scars and small brands of blood, but very little, and Sunoo says in the lyrics that it is He or me, which means that fighting for us engineers, which leads to basically killing each other for us, then another Russian roulette like red velvet.
