Two minutes in and I already love it. Being a sonic Boom comic, they write him as more edgy than in SA2, but not an a-hole. Most people write Shadow as an a-hole because they think that's his whole character. This is a refreshing break from that Just finished it edit: OH MY GOSH THIS IS SO FREAKING AWESOME This story works so well and doesn't shove anything in your face. It's cleverly and realistically written, the art and voice acting was freaking AMAZING

@@CashlinSnow no problem! This freaking brought tears to my eyes because it's so relatable. I'm a huge Shadow fan and this reminded me why I love Shadow so much. There's a reason he's anti social and doesn't seem like a nice person, but no one realizes why because most people don't look below the surface. That's why Shadow has been written so poorly in the franchise lately. He actually does care, and doesn't actually want to hurt anyone for the sake of hurting them, he just does what needs to be done, i.e. Sonic X when he goes after Cosmo. (Sorry for the huge rant, I'm just really passionate about this! XD)

The overlapping voice lines are: "Can't use me," "Stuck," "No way out," "No . . . they're not here," "They'll put me back," "It's not real," "Left too many traces," "They'll find me," "No," "No more," "Won't happen." (With a few repeats and possibly a few I missed.) This scene clues us in to the part of Shadow's past that he is aware of, the part that he never tells Amy or us by extension.

I have a preference for Shadow's soft, delicate voice from Prime and Adventure. It nicely contrasts his grumpy personality and his scary look. It makes me smile thinking him saying soft spokenly and gently "mind your businnes or else!". It doesn't matter how soft this guy sounds, he is somebody you don't want to mess with.

Oh My GOSH!! This was amazing!! I loved it so much! I mean like alot of others I don't consider Sonic Boom as canon but rather a stupid funny sonic thing to watch for fun. I didn't care for their Shadow portrayal, but again this was a stupid funny thing to watch so I tried not to take it too personally since Shadow is my favorite character. When I saw this with 'Sonic Boom' in the title I wasn't too sure, but it kept popping up so I watched it. I am SO glad I did too! I am hoping very much for a part 2, because I am dying to see what happens next.! This gave so much more depth to his character and it just felt more real you know? I know based on his character he probably wouldn't give another chance to Amy as this was a big breach for him when he's already so raw from his past experiences but DAMN!! I need to know what other evidence is found to explain what was found out from that relic > 0 < / !!! I also loved the bonus ending with him going back for his glove and food, haha > v

the story suggests that when shadow was created, that he was treated horribly and developed trauma and ptsd from it. whatever scientists had him experimented on him. he got out at some point, hence the "I've risked going back into confinement" comment. being held in tight spaces that he couldn't eacape from has caused him to have intense claustrophobia. when amy closed the hatch, it brought on his trauma. he was just saying things like no no no and cant use me etc. kelp took the words from the page. you should be able to reference the comic page for the words. see link in desc. hope that helps!
